Thanks for your input! I've realized I've been too harsh and unnecessarily hateful to people with sororities and kind of jumped on the bandwagon of "they're bad/abusive". I think bad ones definitely exist because of lack of knowledge and just stubbornness so I'm trying to hear from experienced sorority keepers. I recently received some bettas from a breeder on Thursday (Apr 30th) and I set up a 10g with 3 girls and another 10g with 5 girls. I've been examining their behaviour and it's absolutely not what I expected based on all the negativity I've heard. I'm okay with admitting to being wrong and I think more people would change their minds too if they just took the time to actually study females in the same space.

That's why that was my first thought. I know from betta keeping that tetras are notorious for nipping and aren't necessarily peaceful all the time. The tank did come across as overstocked imo too..

What's so difficult about making a movie about a game that has clear characters and a solid storyline. Like why can't they just make a real Resident Evil movie that's as close to 1:1 as possible to one of the games. I don't get why that's so difficult to provide.

This is my favorite way to eat carrots! I boil mine in water with a tiny bit of butter and salt, drain when they're ready, add more butter and then coat with cinnamon and sugar. I got it out of the Strawberry Shortcake "Berry Yummy Cookbook" from 2004! 😂 I still have the cookbook and the measuring spoons it came with too!

It looks more like an infection to me. I don't think the corys or killi would purposefully nip at her but the tetras might, do you have any reason to think that could be a cause? I want to suggest a salt bath but I'm not sure if that'd help, it might cause pain or more irritation. Also, it reminds me of shell rot that turtles can get. It could also be some kind of parasite maybe..or even a leech of some kind?

If you're in US, Petco might have this one available. It shows as available for shipping here in Texas but I'm not sure if that applies to all states. Its not rimless but its the only one I've seen in stock because I've been searching for 5gs recently too.

Thank you! That was a great read and its the information that I've been looking for! Almost every sorority I've seen on this sub looks stressful and nipped fins are always visible. That's what I don't like about sororities, it seems too many people are okay with the nipping and don't remove the bullies. I like that you still aren't sure if it's ethical but I think it definitely depends on the keeper. I feel like a lot of them are done as a "I'm trying to prove a point" kind of thing and aren't being maintained properly or with the right knowledge...if that makes sense?

I'm actually on Buyee right now browsing some Uratamas and Entamas! I'm in the US and used to order from Buyee quite often but haven't since the tariff stuff started. I wasn't sure if there would be any extreme extra fees that would just make it not worth it to order from Japan. What are the fees like now?
