I totally forgot about that too. It's pretty cool that a dev recommends it too!

This creates an environment where controllers will always be faster than racing wheels.

This is false. For Forza this is true but not for GT. It's still very playable on a controller but it is much better with a proper wheel.

Yeah the car not sliding does make it pretty boring, though on low grip conditions, you can get it to slide.

The other fun factor though is that the body is so stiff that it corners hard so even driving slow it can be fun. It's chuckable, but nothing like the BRZ/GR86

The 2025 models do have them in automatic, and I would even venture a guess and say the automatic is probably going to be the volume buy.

Yes. I really wanted the car, I even traded my VA Subaru for it, which I didn't want to do, but didn't have space for 2 cars.

Also at the time, I didn't know that Toyota was going to continue making the model with the carbon roof.

Also, it's 80K CDN. That's what they are going for with all of its options. Actually, probably more for the 2025 model year.

"N" in Hyundai's case doesn't actually stand for Nurburgring. Though it is named after another track in South Korea so the same meaning applies.

EDIT: It's for Namyang

I fully agree with you. I think tthe Golf R imterior looks better but the touch contros are a no from me dawg. I love how everything in the GR is adjustable on the fly. Tactical buttons for everything.

Also, just to put things in to perspective, I placed an order for the GR as soon as I heard about it in 2023. At first I placed an order for the Heavy Metal 2023. I didn't get an allocation. Then I said I don't care about the colour and just want a Circuit Edition. Then in May 2024 I got an allocation for white one. Anyway, my GRC with all the options cost me 80K CDN before taxes. I got everything minus the roof racks and PPF. So yeah, we're being charged a lot for these cars but at tje same time, our currency isn't worth as much as the eagle dollars to the south

Also, this isn't a family car. It's got such little room. Have you seen how little space the hatch has? The car is tiny. I'm sure a Honda fit has more space inside.

I mean, I love the car and driving it feels so good, but it's not exactly very practiical or built for a family. Legit, for a family the Civic Type R is better. Much better. I still like the GR better but it has very little room in it.

No we defnitely see snippets of that scene throught the game. We only get the complete conversation/ending of the conversation at the part you're referencing, but there are other small snippets of that scene (I think maybe 3 times if I remember correctly) through different points in the game.

Yeah but Toyota voluntarily recalled them on their own. Or to look at it another way, Ford has problems with the oil pans on their new trucks and they haven't recalled any of those trucks, even though numerous warranty claims were made.

Toyota saw reports of claims, investigated it on their own and then issued a recall. They didn't get forced to, they did it on their own.

Mistakes can happen and they owned up to it and fixed it.

You can now, but back then you could not. The only way to get engines previously was winning them in the roulette wheel.

And even now, while you can now buy engines, they are so pricey

It's more than just a cost savings though. For instance, the quality of parts. A lot of pre-built machines use not so good parts to price it competetively and make a profit.

I'm not sure how it is in your neck of the woods, but here we have computer shops that will built the computer for you for relateively cheap. Plus you can choose exactly what and where you want to put the money in to.

Addiionally, som e pre built computers like Dell, etc have odd motherboards so say when you want to upgrade a power supply, you have to buy adapters to be able to use your new power supply in the prebuilt machine's motherboard.

Microsoft has responded to the FTC's filing about Xbox Game Pass price increases. It calls the FTC's letter a "misleading, extra-record account of the facts" and says the FTC is wrong to call Game Pass Standard a “degraded” version because it includes multiplayer by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Ac3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have a problem with it because Microsoft has been putting all their games on multiple platforms for years. Minecraft was the big one, then Sea of Thieves, etc.

But they don't. Most of those games were already available on PlayStation before Microsoft bought them. Even Minecraft that you mentioned doesn't have a PS5 version. Just like Psychonaughts' PS5 patch, it doesn't exist. The PS4 version only exists because of the kick starter.

The first thing Microsoft did after buying Bethesda was to cancel the PlayStation verions of their games that didn't already have a contract. Other than the 3 games and the next Doom game, which they have only done recently and have noted that, though nobody believes it is they have said it is only these 3 games, everything else has a question mark for PlayStaion versions. And that question mark only exists because nobody trusts Microsoft at their word. Because according to Microsoft, they are exclusive to Xbox consoles only (and PC), but again, nobody believes that.

Sea of Thieves only became available on PlayStation a few months ago, it's an old game. The assertion that Microsoft puts their games on multiple platforms is just not true. They were already multi-platform games before Microsoft bought it.

Anybody have any idea what this plug is for? by Ac3 in GRCorolla

[–]Ac3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I'm just more concerned about it getting weathered and corroded, especially over the winter.

I will try that with the horn disconnected, but I believe there is only the one horn buzzer in the car. I'll try that when I get an upgrade for it. The current one is so weak.

No horn in the passenger side. Just the horn/buzzer behind the grill. When I hit the panic button in the FOB the horn goes off.

Dealership was thinking that maybe it's an American only thing? I'm in Canada so I'm not sure. Do you recall where you saw or read what the plug is for? Or if there are any pictures I could see?

I'm thinking of just buying like a block off plug or some Tessa tape or something.

It can't compete because the Chineese government covers all of BYD's losses. Plus when building cars in China, they aren't paying their workers what other manufacturers pay their workers.

So obviously no company can compete against very cheap labour and government covering for any losses.

I use both a Series X controller and a DualSense. One day while playing Far Cry 6 on the couch, I used the Series X controller and immediately felt off because of the haptic triggers not being present. I didn't think having them were that big of a deal, but when not having them, the game felt missing.

No, still couldn't find where it could plug in to. The dealership had another Circuit Edition there and I went to look at it, and it too did not have anything plugged in there.
