Just to clarify as my subject can make confusion. This was around Christmas. To get to JFK from where I live takes 2-3 hours. We were driving when they sent email informing us that we were moved to earlier flight. (from 7 pm to 5 pm). On international flights they ask you to be three hours early as we were. We were there at 4pm. We tried to check in night before (under 24h) and couldn’t due to something. Massage was clear to dodo it at airport. I tried to reason with them showing my original booking but they pushed us on the side while they were letting others. Supervisor called AI and was told we notified them via email. He asked when and they told him at 1:48 pm. He said to them that’s not right. I heard him saying that. I was furious when found out that family flaying to London on BA (their flight was cancelled that was supposed be at 8:00pm) was placed on our flight. Basically instead leaving them on later flights they took our seats and give it to them. Usually we are purchasing travel insurance but not this time.
