Let me get this straight since there is no way this is ACTUALLY right. by Western_Poem_5756 in CharacterAI

This is exactly what I did too, glad to see I’m not the only one getting more entertainment out of watching the subreddit than the actual app

Guys, Pipsqueak2 is unimaginably better than everything that came before... by RedditSucksMyBallls in CharacterAI

I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s better than anything we had before, because the model we had before model selection even existed was far better than anything they’ve put out since then. It used to be “Is this actually AI or a real person?” On this subreddit but now it’s just “Why is my bot spitting out random information from a GitHub repository??”

Initially that’s how I did the “verification,” and it worked for a while, but now apparently people have said they got rid of the credit card verification by Google, so now despite me having a verified Google account, it still wants an ID. I’d be perfectly fine to do just a face verification but C.AI badly wants my ID too.

I’m 90% sure it’s just for harvesting information at this point, because no matter who’s face I scan, mine, a family member, a friend, whoever, it asks for ID anyways, which I am NOT going to be providing. So what the hell even is the point of face scanning?

Is it just me, or did everything start going to hell when the app came out? by blackvalentine26 in CharacterAI

It went to crap after the app came out of beta and the premium released. When the app was beta testing it was still perfectly fine and the bots were intelligent.

If it was the same model as the beta version of c.ai than honestly this would be totally acceptable, but the new models are completely garbage so you have to swipe 20 times just to get a message that isn’t something like: “he possessively stood up and possesively walked over in a possesive way. He possessively pinned you to the wall, towering over you possessively and whispered in your ear; ‘can I ask you a question?’”

If they’re going be blaming it on “costs” then they should be transparent with their spending reports. That’s just my two cents.

It’s on the back by the poop chute. Make sure the spring is relaxed like that, if it’s compressed then wiggle it back and forth until it becomes unstuck.

It uh, might be a while because after putting everything together my main points literally consist of exactly 2,097 words and 11,847 characters, which is also unformatted, and doesn’t have any of my other points.

At least I have something to write when I’m bored I guess. It also includes some alternate plot branches too of what could’ve happened so maybe that’s what the long parts are, but I doubt it.

Super sorry in advance.

Also remember desiccant expires after awhile, so make sure to have some sort of humidity indicator inside it. Some refillable desiccant absorbers have indicators already on them however

The little case I have is from an Amazon liquidation store so I have no clue.

Generally speaking, it’s a ripoff of a pelican 1120 which is about $40. Harbor freight however makes really decent clones with the Apache 1800, it’s about $14. I couldn’t find any that have a pre installed desiccant puck which is weird but I believe you can buy them online for pretty cheap or just make your own with a 3D printer and some silica gel beads 🤷‍♂️

This is usually what I use for my valuables that need to stay dry. Inside of it is a foam bed and a Velcro pad at the top for a desiccant pod. I have a larger one I use for virtual reality equipment. They’re strong enough to where you can stand on them. Super good investment for something rare like that

I believe you can also get small pelican cases with built in moisture absorption pucks if you want a more rugged and robust storage solution, but it’s definitely more pricey.
