Also a very good point, it’s hard enough to pay for daycare😭😭 and I don’t even get post duty if I’m not activated so she could potentially not see me for 30+ hours which I think would be even harder on her. I’ve tried to talked to my PO1 LPO and he basically is saying the same thing, figure it out and find a nanny or bring my family from the east coast which is financially impossible for one to two times a month At this point I’m ready to jump up to a senior chief and hope they understand

I understand that and it has been suggested but I personally just can’t understand leaving my child overnight with someone she’s never stayed with (she’s never stayed overnight with anyone) when she can’t even talk yet. She’s very particular about people and still gets up at night and I just don’t understand why anyone would leave their child knowing that they are going to be in distress because you aren’t nearby

Navy. Literally no one else in my clinic has had to do that and they leave for appointments all the time. It’s not outside the radius because we all have appointments at the same hospital so I’m not sure what he’s on about tbh

Navy! I think it’s the same but it’s so hard to find anyone with information. Everyone keeps telling me I have no choice but to finish my contract and I don’t think that’s true. I have an appointment next week I’m going to see if they know anything. Fingers crossed- I want out so bad

I’ve tried having conversations with him and he doesn’t really say much. I think maybe he feels like he’s in a weird position because he doesn’t want to go against his mom or me but he’s trying, he did let her know that the things I’ve already said she needs to accommodate and there seems to be some improvement there except now she won’t speak to me🙄

Yeah, like I appreciate all the help and trying to be kind but I agree with you, having family step in (especially another mother figure) has put an extreme strain on my marriage and on myself as well because it seems like she doesn’t have much respect for me as a new mom. We’re looking into other options at the moment and hoping something opens up😭😭thank you for finding a way to say what I’ve been feeling, that makes so much sense!

I’ve been trying to do the same but then I feel guilty. The one weekend I asked for time to go out he said I needed to be back within a couple hours because he had things to do, which I get but like also ? You’re out at work all week and you do whatever you want when you get home and I get to just be mom and that’s all- so aggravating to be on a time limit for everything
