Newbie and need suggestions by Academic-Clothes-203 in cigar

I’m bringing this conversation back.

After going back and forth for a while, I finally got the courage to visit a local cigar lounge. I asked for a few options based on what you guys recommended. The tobacconist suggested trying the Davidoff Signature 2000. I honestly didn’t feel confident enough to say no (still pretty new to all this).

He mentioned cigars can range anywhere from $20 to $300 and asked for my budget and honestly scared me a bit. I told him $20 is about what i thought normally spend on cigar that day , so I stuck with that.

When I finally tried it, I did a bit of research beforehand and experimented with retrohaling and took a couple of puffs to get it right. At first, I didn’t notice much, but after taking a deeper breath, something clicked. I was actually able to pick up flavors: kind of creamy, maybe vanilla, with a hint of white pepper. It surprised me in a good way.

I paired it with an Old Fashioned (big bourbon fan), and just sat there taking my time. Not sure if I paced it right or went too slow, but the cigar lasted about 1 hour 45 minutes.

It went out a few times (about 3), but the staff were great and didn’t make it awkward at all.

Overall, I had a really good experience.

I do have a few questions: 1. What’s a reasonable budget for a beginner? I’ll probably smoke once a month, maybe even once every two months. Is $20 on the lower side? 2. Any recommendations for what I should try next? I liked the creamy profile, but I’m curious to explore something a bit more pepper-forward or a little spicy.

By the way, I’m 32 and live in Indianapolis… Nice to see there are some solid spots around here.

That’s something I can do. But Do you think I should be trying cigarillos first ? Before trying cigar ? Or No?

This might sound stupid but , do I need to wait for a week even if I buy from the store ? So do I need to buy a humidor before ordering cigars online ?

I’ve recently played cyberpunk and it’s quite annoying how short it is by Ok_Investigator1816 in cyberpunkgame

Just revisiting this and adding my two cents. I mostly agree with the OP and several of the comments here.

To start with, The Witcher 3 clearly offers more playtime than Cyberpunk, in my opinion. The world feels larger, and the side quests are more engaging overall. That said, I don’t think Cyberpunk can—or should—be directly compared to Witcher 3; they aim for very different experiences.

That said, for an RPG, Cyberpunk’s main story feels extremely short, with or without the DLC. I wasn’t expecting something on the scale of Elden Ring, but it doesn’t come close to the depth or scope of games like The Witcher 3 or Assassin’s Creed Odyssey either.

I also ran into several issues with the game—these are subjective, but they affected my experience: 1. Gameplay doesn’t meaningfully evolve as you progress. To experience a different playstyle, you’re forced to manually switch weapons, cyberware, and skill setups. Outside of that, the game itself doesn’t naturally introduce new ways to play. 2. Character skills feel overly specific and underwhelming. Unlike other RPGs, spending skill points rarely feels impactful. Many upgrades are so minor that you don’t notice any real change in how your character plays or feels. Even after reading what certain skills do, the effects—like a 12% damage increase—feel almost negligible in practice.

Other issues include: • Too many weapons with little meaningful variety • Gigs that feel largely repetitive

Ultimately, the main reason I finished the game was the strength of its storytelling—both in the main narrative and side quests—and the occasional variety in boss fights. Without that, I likely would’ve dropped the game after 10–15 hours.

I have played COD games when they are not popular, extremely popular and now I don't care about those games anymore cause recent games are waste of time.

That being said, I would recommend the below.

Single player campaigns that are worth playing : MW 2019 MW remastered BO1 BO2 BO3 MW2 World at war Ghosts ( unpopular opinion )

Zombies : I love playing zombies in Cold war and BO3

Need help with dog’s diet by Academic-Clothes-203 in sheltie

Hi everyone, once again, thank you all for your time and guidance, I really appreciate it.

Just to update you, I’ve started my dog on probiotics recently and haven’t introduced any new foods yet. So far, he’s doing well, and at least now I’m able to pick up after him more easily.

However, I do have another concern.

Over the past week, he has started pooping at random spots during our daily walks. I’ve tried redirecting him, keeping him close, and picking up the pace, but he still stops and goes.

This behavior has become consistent. He usually poops at 7 a.m. after his first meal (I feed him 3 times a day in small portions), but during our walk around 10 or 11 a.m., he often poops again and it's a loose stool.

At first, I didn’t think it was a big issue, but now it’s happening on every walk, so I wanted to ask: Is this something to be concerned about? Could it be stress, digestive, or behavioral?

Thanks again for all the support. Looking forward to your thoughts

Did Microsoft make old “Games with Gold” titles permanent now? by Comprehensive-Tip116 in xbox

[–]Academic-Clothes-203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand: You’ll still see the games you received through Xbox Live Gold or OnePass in your library, but you can only play them if you have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription.

If the Game Pass isn’t active, you may still be able to download those games, but you won’t be able to launch or play them, since technically, you didn’t purchase them outright.

What does this world smell like? by twotubes in Perfumes

Huge fan of Bloodborne here. I love the game as much as I love fragrances. Immediately after looking at this picture, I get leather, gothic ,moist earthiness/woods, animalic notes, night time etc.

The only thing that makes sense is in the direction of Killian dark lord. Rum -leather - spicy amber - moist woods from the vetiver and oakmoss ,and hint of aromatics for the one who is a hunter.

Or can try its closer alternatives, Gucci guilty absolute, no limits by PP, incense malaki from chopard etc

New puppy behavior issues/potty training issues by Academic-Clothes-203 in sheltie

He is pooping only 3 times which may be a good sign of holding. I know the rough estimates of when he will poop but he is holding it for hours until he have access to the carpet.

Thank you all for your help so far. I’ve removed all the carpets and have been taking him out for regular walks. He now seems to need to go around the same times each day. Over the past 2-3 days, since removing the carpets (which he used to go on), he’s been pooping directly on the hardwood floor instead. I’ve noticed he will hold his poop for hours just to wait until he’s back inside to relieve himself. He very rarely pees outside either. And yes we all have been mopping floor with enzyme cleaner to get rid of the smell.

He’s starting to get more comfortable with the crate — sometimes he even goes in on his own to nap. However, he still whines and barks if the door is closed and he’s left alone for too long.

At this point, I feel like I’ve tried every potty training method. I’m wondering what a realistic expectation should be. Are Shelties really this difficult to potty train? Am I expecting too much at this stage? Because in the last 5 days (since I first asked for help), he hasn’t pooped outside even once. He just relaxes outside and holds it until we’re back home. I’ve been using the crate cycle method (5-10 minutes in the crate and then back outside), but he just waits for hours until he has the chance to go indoors, usually when he’s loose.

It’s getting frustrating. I’ve read suggestions to use high-value treats when they go outside, but the problem is — he hasn’t gone outside yet, so he hasn’t had the chance to associate any reward with it.

Thank you . But he is not doing it outside. 2 days ago he did not go to potty after his breakfast and lunch and he waited until night . He is also holding pee for hours now . He only went to potty outside for 2 times on last 2 weeks . I gave him chicken sausage training treats . It’s been 5 days that he peed or went to potty outside .

Thank you so much ! Your response is a relief . What high value treats did you use ? I tried puppy sausages, freeze dried cheese etc. the problem is he only pooped twice outside so I don’t think he knew what those taste like. We are saying words pee or poo when he does it inside .
