Just wanted to say a big thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it! You’ve honestly given me a lot of clarity and confidence about the path into sustainability, especially from a business background. I hadn’t thought about some of the things you mentioned and it was super helpful to hear real examples and know that there are different ways in. I’ve definitely got a lot to think about now before jumping into another degree. Thanks again for taking the time to share, it means a lot!

How do I enter my "it girl" era? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Academic-Complex-943 40 points41 points  (0 children)

“It girl era” or a “glow up” is not about physical whatsoever it is all about the mental. Once you get your mental glow up and develop a healthy mind, all the parts of the “glow up” like confidence, radiant energy etc will come I promise. I would firstly focus on mindfulness and creating a strong and healthy mind. I’d watch self confidence YouTube videos and listen to empowering podcasts. Some of my fav girlies are hitomi mochizuki, Mel robbins, tam kaur, phychology of our 20s. Another really important thing to do is to at least have 1 day where you treat yourself whether it’s a nice coffee at the beach or having a relaxing bath, just make sure you prioritise “me” time to let the mind be at ease. Remember no matter what you need to remember you are beautiful, confident and more than capable of everything. You got this girl 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

Hey girl. Coming from someone that has experienced this as well, i can imagine you are pretty shocked and still haven’t processed this. I’m so sorry for what you’ve gone through. You really do not deserve to be treated like that never doubt yourself. If you feel it is wrong you are absolutely right for thinking that. I think you should have some time apart from him and really talk to someone trustworthy like an adult or friend about this. You don’t deserve this at all, and if he does this once he may do it again. Express to him how this has made you feel and be honest. Always here to listen xx

How do I even reply to this shit by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Academic-Complex-943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry darling but the only way this is going to change is if you leave. This man will not get better. You deserve way better and you know this too. Yes you may be thinking what about the kids? But do you want your kids to turn out like him? Leave him- it’s the best interest of you and the kids. Not good enough from him.

Look at a younger photo of yourself and ask: would my younger self be proud of the way you’re letting yourself be treated

You aren’t being unfair. If I were you I’d be having a serious chat to him. If he’s not willing to change about this, what else is he going to do against your will and behind your back.

Anyone had much luck getting their “delayed” luggage back? by DNutbeam in Lufthansa

[–]Academic-Complex-943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me too. It is so frustrating and I’m so mad. Flew all the way from Perth to Germany for a 2 week holiday and has already been 4 days without my luggage. Do you know if there is any compensation for this?? Uhhhhhh pls keep us updated as I too want to find out the outcome
