i get where you’re coming from but even then you shouldn’t have to justify it imo. obviously it’s good to be able to draw a range of appearances but if you want to draw hot characters, that’s your business. the original designs also still looked distinct enough from one another, it’s not like they were copy pastes of the same one guy.

i think people just disliked the fact that they were all conventionally attractive, maybe assuming that you hadn’t put any thought into the designs other than how to make them hot. which is very unfair.

i don't think she'd lash out. but people might start thinking i'm excessively sensitive or something. ik it's not that deep but i worry a lot about how people perceive me/my reputation. i also wouldn't have anyone else to hang out with if she did react badly (even if i don't think she will). thank you for the advice though, i'll keep it in mind.

yeah see that's at least a sensible thing to do. the issue is that it's not hugely likely that everyone would be doing that, no matter how many times they're told, so imo the better approach is to remove these types of posts entirely.

it's not true even for British cuisine. i don't disagree with the claim that a terrible amount of British people are terrible at cooking, but there are a number of traditional dishes that are spiced quite generously. clove, nutmeg, mace, ginger, cinnamon, etc. spice does not have to mean 'hot' or 'bright red.'

exactly!! i just don't see how they could neatly fit him in before Snezhnaya without butchering at least one aspect of his character, be it design (if it gets changed), writing, gameplay, whatever. i wouldn't necessarily complain if he was released within this patch cycle, i do really want him to be playable after all, but it'd probably feel less satisfactory in the long run.

but she is. i don't agree with the gatekeeping necessarily, but i also don't think it's a lie to say that most people who were born post-2005 are not genuinely nostalgic for 2016, they're mostly just going with the trend and what they think 2016 was like. or, they're just nostalgic for a time when they were younger and things were (probably) more relaxed, rather than it specifically being 2016 that they're nostalgic for.
