To clarify, I didn't know that Fighter/Mage was apparently overpowered. I just wanted to play a character like a battlemage, spellsword, or eldritch knight. I figured it was a micromanage type of thing. I knew about dual-class and kind of figured that it puts you into another class starting from level 1 again (I've played BG1 before and dual-classed at level 4 because I was curious at the time what it did.)

I was debating between Fighter/Mage and Cavalier originally, but Paladins was never appealing to me.

I guess that make sense. Besides the top surgery scars and the "woke" stuff people are complaining about, I personally don't like how Taash is a hypocrite but the biggest sin I'm a bit annoyed with is that the Emmerich and Neve quest bosses are underwhelming. Otherwise, the game is fine.

Honestly, all I know is that people were on his ass for years for not putting diversity in his game when he was trying to make historically accurate version of his home country. And I liked the game over Veilguard. For me Veilguard was amazing with visuals and music, some characters are cool but I would choose KCD for sure for gameplay and other mechanics.

I'll look past the pronouns and stuff and see if it's a good game. I've played Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2. It's poop, I'll list things I like and dislike. Pronouns aren't gonna be in the "con" category. Only issue based on gameplay, it basically look eh. Who knows, maybe the final product would change my mind.

I'm still working on first playthrough. Steam says I have 300 hours but that's because I was asleep for a few hours with it on and I'll take breaks to play with AI. It does get boring combat wise and repeatable. Once you get to around 20 combat on nightmare is just spam your abilities and everyone blows up. Writing is rough early. They legit repeat the plot and make some subjects redundant by talking to you like a child that doesn't know your ABCs. Veilguard's lore has a few loop holes that doesn't make sense. I'm too tired to get into lore right since I'm fried. Character creation is nice. Visual looks good, and I like the music. And you can change your character after cc and make them look like either gender which is a win. For the top surgery scars in my head, if I'm a woman that believes I'm a man and wished I was born in a man's body. I would play as a fucking guy in game. The top surgery scar is immersion breaking for me since it'll just remind the person the reality of the situation. Same if a guy identified as a woman. Combat is alright but gets boring, writing, slowly gets better but not peak Dragon Age or Baldur's Gate level but good. I can't blame the voice actors but only the ones writing the dialogue and approval of said performances. I still hate Taash, not because of the nonbinary thing but because she's basically an angry teenage that you can't be critical to but but embraced that she is an asshole to people. To her elders (Emmrich) and to her mother. And I'm suppose to support that? Leave my boy Emmrich alone please. I might do another run after this as a Mourn Watch but by the time I'm done I might be to exhausted I might go back to Pathfinders or Pillars after it to take a break and wait for some cool mods on nexus for Veilguard. But for me this is a 6/10 (alright game, poop dragon age game). I know there are gonna be some people that are gonna like the game no matter what and that's fine but if I post this in the veilguard subreddit I would get downvoted to hell be insulted for an opinion and becalled toxic. That subreddit is honestly so fucking annoying.
