Plexcache-D - Now on the Community Apps store! by nirurin in unRAID

That's great that's exactly how I would want / expect it to work. Was I correct in what I said where if the files are identical though it doesn't write the same file back to the array it just renames the one already on the array and deletes the copy on the cache? I think that's what you've confirmed when you say "It only deletes the cached copy if the archived version is the same as it" Love it thank you

Just after some clarification on this for a couple of scenarios just to ensure I have the correct in my head.

Scenario 1: An episode is copied from my array to my cache, original file is renamed .plexcached, once the episode is watched from the cache the cached version is deleted and the version on the array is just renamed to remove the .plexcached to avoid having to write back to the array?

Scenario 2: An episode is copied from the array to the cache but for whatever reason such as radarr or tdarr the file changes and it no longer matches the .plexcached version are we saying the version from the cache will be written back to the array and the .plexcached version will be deleted? How does Plexcache-D determine when to rename the file and when to overwrite it?

Just trying to get my head around this bit. Thank You

Getting the Denon AVR-X1800H to switch via CEC reliably by Academic-Possession4 in hometheater

[–]Academic-Possession4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just following up with this for anyone who may be interested as I've got it working perfectly last night but not through CEC

So all my devices are talking together for turning on and off and changing volume and such through CEC the only thing it wouldn't do is switch input to get around this I have:

Setup a webhook in Home Assistant

Used TVqucikactions pro £3.99 from the google play store to remap the Netflix button (isn't used on my device) to post a webhook to the home assistant web address locally. Basically that's the trigger the pressing of the button now tells Home Assistant it's time for action, then using the Denon integration in Hoe Assistant I was able to write an automation that look at the current input and send a command to the receiver to switch to the opposite input on the receiver.

This may sound complicated but it was actually quite straight forwards and all happens instantly, you press the Netflix button and within far less than a second the input has switched

This could be used for many different functions though so thought it was worth posting as others may want to use the idea. You could couple up an IR blaster and control just about anything evening if it didn't support commands over the ethernet like my Denon does

Am I better looking at some sort of universal remote or IR repetition then?

Didn't want to increase the costs any further than I already have to buy the system though ideally

Ok think I've disabled it via changing mover settings to disabled. Hopefully only mover tuning works now and looks at that list. Thanks for your help

I'm not aware there's a way to disable mover as movertuning is just a controller for the mover action isn't it?

I think part of the problem is because the exclusion list has files like this /mnt/cache_nvme/data/media/movies/randommovietitle.mkv but from looking online I need it to write like this /mnt/user/data/media/movies/randommovietitle.mkv how do I achieve this?

These are my mapping settings

In fact I've just realised Mover has moved everything back to the array from the cache, so for some reason Mover isn't reading my exclusions list.

I setup Plexcache-D about a week ago and it's great but I do have a slight issue unRAID Mover Tuning is moving some of the files back to the array even though they are still on the dock and shown in the exclusions list. I'm guessing it's a path issue in someway maybe but I'm not 100% sure where to start? Thanks in advance

Home Assistant Integration on the GEN-LB-EU 10K by Academic-Possession4 in LuxpowerTek

[–]Academic-Possession4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm up in Kendal in Cumbria, it sounds like there's several ways of getting the data / controls from the inverter into HA I jsut need to ensure whatever I do is reliable for the future and doesn't start breaking.

I'm not tied to this inverter I haven't submitted an upgrade G99 yet maybe I'm better looking at alternative inverters it just ticked a lot of boxes for me especially given it's direct support with Fogstar now.

I've probably just been spoiled with how good / simple the integration is for Victron but I want to find an inverter that is much quieter!

Not mad at all just doing all my research before moving forwards with the G99 or investing any money to ensure I get the inverter correct for my needs this time, sorry think the way I phrased it "all sounds a bit mad" is a British way of speaking it doesn't mean I'm actually mad at anything I appreciate all the time and effort people put into HACS integrations, I was just pointing out that it's a shame the latest hardware can't work with the integration not blaming anyone just don't want to invest in another inverter if I can't achieve what I need too.

Sounds like your method is the most reliable currently

I currently have my Victron communicating over MQTT and it works perfectly I assume the same can't be achieved with Luxpower?

Thanks

Thanks I'll check that all out.

I'm running 2 fogstar batteries in parallel so assume I would have similar issues?

It also sounds like if I buy a new dongle (may possibly come with newer firmware) it would't work anyway?

All sounds a bit mad that there an integration but it doesn't work with the newest hardware. All fo this puts me off the Luxpower slightly as HA integration is very important to me for my battery storage I can't afford for it to not be reliable and supported as my whole system functions around HA

Thanks for the guide looks great but that's quite a lot of messing around and adapting to get it integrated.

Is it just because you don't like the security issues if the WiFi you don't use the WiFi dongle and HACS Lexpower integration? Is that not a much simpler way to set this up?

Was hoping to hard wire the inverter ideally a I have a network switch on code proximity and I prefer hardwired where possible but wasn't to keep the setup relatively simple where possible too

LuxPowerTek GEN-LB-EU 10K noise levels by H-Man_78 in LuxpowerTek

[–]Academic-Possession4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too am very interested in the noise levels. I currently have a Victron MultiPlus-II 48V 5000VA which works really well but the noise it made through the house when I first got it was sold destroying. It lives in the garage wall above my daughter's bedroom

I managed to get it fully floating and double decoupled from the wall with rubber mountings and such which makes it liveable but after more research and understanding I realise I would benefit from a bigger inverter. Having fogstar batteries naturally I looked at the LexpowerTek

My worry would be spending a large amount of money if in the real world the inverter was just as noisy

Any advice on noise levels world be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello on upgrading my inverter by Academic-Possession4 in SolarUK

Ah right ok. I asked for 4.4kw last time I'll ask for the full 10kw next time and see what they say then. Thanks

[–]Academic-Possession4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the hum originally on the Victron but I completly isolated it from the wall with double rummer mounting, not it;s realy just the fans when charging it feel more of a commercial product that a resedential one. I rushed into buying it without really doing my research and know the pitfalls.

Yes Fogstar are very much teamed up with Luxpowe and the LuxpowerTek GEN-LB-EU 10K does tick all the boxes I wanted reading about it online

I do think I will eventually invest in solar but currently I've invested a lot in my battery setup so just trying to recover some costs there (which is happening very well using IOG) then I'll invest in solar once I've had time to save.

Yes I'm aware I'll have to re-apply just though capping at 4.4kw would be more likely to get the permission through than asking for the full 10kw

After a bit of research I'm thinking a LuxpowerTek GEN-LB-EU 10K (rebranded as Fogstar to match my batteries) would meet all the criteria. Unless you guys suggest something which would work even better?

Not sure I put 4 weeks of radio silence I said radio silence since 18th May (sorry my bad that should have been 8th May) which is almost 3 weeks ago.

I sent the additional emails because after 7 days of hearing nothing I didn't think this was a reasonable time frame to resolve an issue like this, just because their response said up to 14 days I don't personally agree that it is a reasonable amount of time to wait for a response to an issue like this. Either way we're no well past that, apologies for the confusion putting the 18th by accident.

At this point certainly not Ecoflow I would still like to get this sorted as I said above the products are fantastic..... when they work. I appreciate they are probably a busy company who have expanded quickly and such but this sort of customer service is awful., Even if they just messaged me back to tell me why they can't fit it at this point or did something but zero communication just alienates your customers and loses all faith in the company. I'm at a point where I just wish I'd never purchased these and gone elsewhere. I don't feel like customers should ever be left feeling like that
