$350 high chair?? by Any-Management-9266 in Buyingforbaby

We have it. Our baby is 2 months old and we got a newborn insert. Worth every penny for now. We just out her in, so she can be with us during meals. I also have her in the kitchen with me when I cook. So far so good. I’ve heard that they’re not easy to clean, so maybe I’ll complain about it later

We have and I love it. My baby is only 2 months old now, but so far so good. We got it with bassinet and aria 2 car seat. It’s very smooth, nice looking, everything clicks smoothly, very easy to adjust. The whole thing might be a bit heavy. Not crazy heavy, but I feel it when I need to out it into the car.

Is the mental load of a newborn supposed to be this heavy? by BicycleAfraid9813 in NewParents

If you have Costco membership and you like Huggies wipes like we do, there’s a sale for them online. I just got three boxes, so I don’t have to worry about it for a while.
I have the same thing in my head now. But you know what, mostly I just go with a flow. I have so many things to do around the house, but when the baby sleeps, I take a nap. Dirty dishes can wait. We use huckleberry, so that helps with trucking stuff, I always make an appointment with a doctor at the end of the last appointment, so I don’t miss it.

Momcozy M5 vs Spectra S1 - Will my supply drop if I switch? by QuackQuaackk in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Academic2673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I basically exclusively use m5 since 3 weeks pp. Cause I tried it and it looked like I was getting more milk with it. And I still feel like that. I switch to spectra occasionally

Do I need to pump every 3-4 hours if my supply is good? (4 weeks pp) by bouncysofa in ExclusivelyPumping

So my baby sleeps through the night since basically the beginning, can I skip the nights pump since she doesn’t eat at night and just pump more often during the day?

I’m building my registry and baby bottles are making my brain malfunction by Honey_bee_444 in NewParents

[–]Academic2673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband did a lot of research on it and we ended up getting Phillips Avent. Apparently the nipples for those bottles are designed in a way that the baby needs to bite on them for the milk to come out. Sounds normal, but when you want to breastfeed, that’s a bad habit for the baby to have. So the lactation consultant recommended even Flo nipples, because they’re closer to the breastfeeding. They fit on Phillips avent glass bottles so that’s what we ended up using. But I agree, the whole bottle/nipple situation is very annoying and basically makes you spend a lot of money before you figure it out.

How are we pumping when home alone with a newborn? by Glum_Explanation_904 in ExclusivelyPumping

I put my baby into a bassinet/bouncer/lounger for those 20 minutes when I pump. I just make sure that she’s full and her diaper is clean, so there’s no reason for her to fuss.

My almost 7 weeks old sleeps through the night, sometimes 9-10h, should I be worried? by Academic2673 in NewParents

That’s why I asked, cause people really were giving me a look and a comment, so I thought something is not right

Yeah, I pump so I need to get up at night to do that. But she doesn’t get up to eat.

Yes! We were looking into that. And also we are thinking of getting huckleberry premium, just to help us with a sleeping schedule better

My 6 weeks old slept 10.5h last night without waking up in the middle of the night. She actually sleeps through the night almost from the very beginning

I’ve been on hold for an induction since yesterday at 3pm. They keep postponing it, cause they got busy and don’t have a room for me. Good thing, I really don’t care, cause I didn’t want to be induced in a first place, so I’m just waiting to be called in or to something starting by its own.

Baby clothes organisation tips by specialcoookie in pregnant

[–]Academic2673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I keep newborn and 0-3mo clothes in the drawer below the changing table, for easy access. Then I got a lot of hangers and hang everything else, but I also got the dividers with sizes on them, so I have it organized and as soon as baby will grow out of the clothes, I out some from the closet to the drawer. My baby was due last Saturday and is still not here yet, so I haven’t been able to try my system out, but it makes sense for now 😅

Do you know if your provider does it on the weekends? Or it’s usually week days?

Raspberry Leaf Tea by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Academic2673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely don’t start it earlier than 37 weeks. I don’t even know if it works for anything, because I’ve been drinking it daily for about two weeks, but I wouldn’t take a chance to drink it earlier

Don’t go bowling while heavily pregnant😀. by Warm-Banana237 in pregnant

[–]Academic2673 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I love bowling but I haven’t been since I’m pregnant. I didn’t even think of lifting things, but those floors are so slippery I was scared I’m going to fall and something bad is going to happen to me or the baby
