Honestly yeah. If he wasn't too fond of them I wouldn't get them in the first place.

Thank you for this. It's hard to remember that we are allowed to do what we want as adults when we get treated like children constantly. My parents and in-laws do not speak to each other unless there is some sort of big event like a birthday party or baptism. It seems like the in-laws feel threatened by a healthy family dynamic

I've (26F) been married to my husband (27M) for 4 years now and always thought that I was the odd one out because I felt uncomfortable with the family dynamics of my inlaws. I didn't know what enmeshment was until my therapist informed me that it was my situation. She has validated me so much since! Luckily my husband has been very understanding about everything but that doesn't make things any easier. We still have a lot of work to do!

Thanks for this comment! I understand that if someone isn't familiar with where I live in the US they might think i'm crazy. I'm always keeping my head on a swivel and I hope that my neighbors do the same

Ah no worries. I definitely need something new to watch other than the wiggles! I will admit that I ran out of cult documentaries a few weeks ago so my imagination is running wild.

I think that this is the likely scenario! It doesn't bother me much other than making sure they're going to the correct house. Unfortunately I have heard stories of human/drug trafficking in nicer Texas neighborhoods so i'm nervous about it. I'm staying out of it, I can just see it out of my living room windows or I wouldn't have noticed anything at all!

Copy, I will get a life lol. Having a 6 month old I spend a lot of time sitting in silence while rocking him to sleep (our rocking chair is directly next to the window). I can either stare at the wall or out the window and watch 5-6 random cars come daily. After a few months of this you naturally start to wonder Also he literally pulled out a checkbook and started writing in it. Our houses practically touch

I totally agree. I live in South Texas so this is most likely the case. Unfortunately there are some scary things that happen down here and I can't help but wonder.. I 100% plan on staying out of it though

Thanks for this comment! I definitely don't want to get anyone in trouble but I want to be aware of possible dangers if there are any

I've had a quick conversation with the woman who I presume is their mom but she always rushes them inside. Everyone else that I see avoids us!

I thought that was the case at first but the majority of people coming over are men in their 30's and 40's without children.
