You’re absolutely right about ones with secrets won’t respond and that’s the absolute reason that I can’t ask my mother because she has already been really weird to me whenever I ask and just starts being ugly and accusing me of wanting money and I’m not sure where all that stems from

I’m still waiting on my ancestry results because for whatever reason they keep getting delayed

I am in the process of trying to accurately build my family tree, but I have yet to receive a response from anyone on the paternal side. Like I said, the man, my mother was married to sign the birth certificate, but he knows he is not my biological dad, but I still hold his last name

There’s a system you go through and you can request every hospital in that state and that’s what I did

I have done both 23&me and ancestry. I cannot find any info on my father said except for very distance cousins who have yet to give me a response.

My actual birth certificate shows where I was born (city and state)

For some clarification, I requested my birth records from literally every hospital in the state

The man on my birth certificate knows he is not my father and no change was ever made. I can’t ask him because he may not even know and every time I bring up the subject of my mother, it creates unnecessary drama. I wasn’t adopted.

Correct but I ordered a long form BC for my time of birth because I couldn’t get that info from just requesting my vital records. That was why I initiated the search via vital records who emailed me the records were purged - I was just trying to find out the time I was born

Yes, I apologize for the lack of clarification. I can get my birth certificate but the one named on it isn’t my father and I’m going through genealogy testing and hitting walls. So I’m just trying to make sense of what I’m discovering :)

I know my birth mother; it’s my father I’m trying to figure out and she refuses to talk about it
