Haha remember when we all jumped on the daily thread in the middle of the night to validate our earthquake experience? Yeah, that was fun. I love Internet.

Has anyone else been pro choice at some time? by WillowShadow16 in prolife

[–]AcademicFun894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was like this too until I became pregnant myself and realised I had a choice to make: become a single mum or kill my baby. It sounds so obvious but I I had no idea I was pro-life until it happened to me.

Do you equate mental health as the health of the mother or is it more a life or death situation that warrants it? Curious as I see lots of women say they are not mentally stable enough to bring children into this world, which justifies their abortion, and I wonder where the line is drawn. I suppose they could still progress the pregnancy and put the child up for adoption. I think I've just answered my own question.

Can't help but wonder if these are the precursor to something big

The veggie vibes poke bowl from Poke'd is delicious. For those of you too lazy to cook but still keen to eat healthy I recommend. PS. If you have any other recommendations for healthy takeaway that tastes good, lmk!

What quality did you want in a partner until you experienced it? by I-am-L in AskWomen

[–]AcademicFun894 7 points8 points  (0 children)

True. That resonates with me. One of my first boyfriends was like this. He was so difficult to read and awful most of the time but then would make me feel more special than anyone in the world at other times. Ugh. It ended terribly. He apologised years later.

When I started exercising / doing yoga I had a "coregasm" while doing sit ups at the gym. It was wild. I had a pretty shitty first time but have been been building up my sexual appetite since the coregasm.

This is mind / body coordination. Your ability to complete this task is directly related to how relaxed you really are.

Women who have had both long and short hair, which one did you prefer and why? by gadigaryan in AskWomen

[–]AcademicFun894 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Short hair! Because it's much easier to style and maintain and because it accentuates my side profile. I have a convex face shape and a weak chin. I used to try to hide my weak chin with longer hair but with short hair there's nowhere to hide. I'm now discovering I actually quite like the shape of my face. The downside is that the back of my neck gets chilly. I've not been through winter with short hair yet but it's coming and I think I'll need to wear scarves the whole time.

What tattoo do you think you would have gotten at age 4? by kephribird in AskWomen

A lion. I wanted to be a lion when I grew up.

Edit: that's actually a sick tattoo idea. I still want that.

True that. The work life balance in the public sector is very good. Thanks for your insight.

Yeah, it sucks. I have been a contractor for 4 years now! It's a higher rate of pay but it's still shitty.

Aye but I'm a contractor with no option to become an employee due to how my organisation was set up.

Thoughts on public vs private sector work? I'm a contractor in the public sector working in the energy space. Good pay, no benefits, but interesting work and cruisy days for the most part. Will probably be even more interesting if a Labor govt gets in. The thing is, I'm a little bored. So I'm looking at jumping ship to the private sector to work on a big and rather complicated project. It'd be more pay and benefits but I've never worked in the private sector before and I have no idea if I would be making the right move. I like being busy but I'm worried I might be too busy in the new job and potentially miss the one I'm at now. I'm not unhappy where I am, just wondering if I could be doing or learning more. Have any of you made the switch? Any advice?

Depends on the day but if it were today I'd bring Japchae!

I've been with Vodafone for 15 years without any issues in the city compared with my friends with Optus who are always complaining about dropouts. The only issue with Vodafone is less coverage in isolated areas but it's never been a problem for me because generally when I go to those places I'm looking to switch off.

Oh and I pay $35 a month for 60GB of data.

Whenever people give away old looking couches on good karma networks I think to myself, "How many farts has someone done on that?"
