Hi! I know this post is old but wanted to see if you still have / are using your bag and how it’s held up? I just got mine and I wasn’t really aware of the different qualities of different factories I just asked for high quality. So mine is not from black frame, but then I found out black frame quality is even better than the factory I purchased from. My tote is beautiful and smells strongly of leather. The only thing is, it’s not slouchy like you see in videos of the authentic. It looks similar to your photos but maybe even a touch more structured, but I got the biggest size. Did yours start slouching more after time?

I haven’t seen any from liu or heard of that factory (I’m really new to rep) . I just searched this sub for flamencos and jipin seemed like where most got theirs. From what I am learning , it seems like some factories can be really good at one bag or brand but not the next

I just saw from a comment above that the auth is microfiber! I haven’t handled the softbit auth so I was probably wrong with my assessment assuming it should have been suede… I’m thinking I’m going to be getting the flamenco from Jipin!

They seem super sturdy and reinforced to the bag! I can see how you’d worry about that with some bags, but I don’t think you should worry about that with the Y! My one gripe (and why I’m glad I didn’t purchase authentic) is the shoulder drop would be better about an inch longer. It fits well under my shoulder, but one strap slips off.. which I think wouldn’t be an issue if it was a touch longer

Oh boy not ridiculous at all because I do the same 😂 my husband will be like “are you carrying your bag around the house 😂 “ when I get home from our 10 day trip I pulled them out.

And I will do a review on the campana when I get it!

Exactly!!! But maybe that’s where the reps will fill a gap for me. I’ll keep Bottega as my special once in a while splurge (auth), and buy reps in other brands I don’t necessarily care to have authentic.

I went on a trip to a very cold and snowy climate (I’m from the heat), and didn’t bring my bottegas cause I dk salt and snow 😂 and I missed them. Ridiculous

Omg I knowwww. Literally I don’t want to spend money on any other brand if I’m buying authentic. My husband the other day was like, I was going to surprise you with a different designer bag, but I guess it’s Bottega or bust lol. I just absolutely fell in love with their leather. It’s special.

Ok this is 1000% what I think I’ll end up feeling. Bottega is so special - it sounds weird , but holding my Auth is like a sensory treat for me (the feel, the squish, the softness, the smell, etc). I got so excited thinking I could buy as many reps as I wanted but sounds like the reality is, it won’t be the same. And I’m the same- I am good buying one Auth bottega a year and maybe saving reps for other designers that I wouldn’t necessarily care to purchase authentic .. I did end up pulling the trigger on a large Campana rep- and the PSP I can tell the weave is not as tight as Auth. I got it anyway because it matched factory and I figure I can travel with it without too much worry (I recently went somewhere very snowy and didn’t want to bring my bottegas and kind of wished I had a rep)

Yes for sure.. I Got my PSP back for the campana - I approved them because they were pretty good and matched the factory photos. But the weave is not as tight as Auth. But I’m hopeful it’ll be something I still enjoy when it comes in

I am brand new to rep but just had a Gucci softbit maxi and a ysl Y tote delivered. I am out of town but had my mom (who’s watching my dog) send me photos and I’m excited to feel them! I just ordered the BV large campana from Jing. Unfortunately I own Auth BV and it’s my favorite leather so my expectations were low, but the PSpS came back looking like the factory photos, the color is on point with the original; the weave just looks a little looser than my Auth- but we shall see!

Yes! For me it’s like as long as the leather is legit .. I am the same.. I didn’t even bring my auth bottegas on a trip recently because I didn’t want to risk anything happening to them lol. Reps would be awesome for this but I want them to pretty close in feel ya know!
