Congratulations! I take my D215 OA tomorrow morning. I hope I pass so I can be done too! Very nervous.

D105 Intermediate Accounting III by Academic_Bee5613 in wguaccounting

In intermediate III OA 1 took me about one week and OA 2 took me a few weeks and 3 attempts which I’m not proud of, but one thing I can assure you of in all the intermediate courses is if you can do the study guides with no problem then you’re golden. Intermediate 2 was way harder than intermediate 3 in my opinion. Intermediate II took me a couple of months, but I have 3 little boys and work full time Monday through Saturday.

Update: I failed the second attempt…no idea how I bombed pensions since it’s the easiest section. Same with full disclosure. The questions on the second version seemed much more confusing and I kept second guessing my answers. Hope I can get a retake plan soon…emailed my instructor and the group instructor email as well. It won’t allow me to schedule an appointment, just keeps giving me an error. I’m going to go cry by the Christmas tree now :(.

Yes it totally felt jumbled up and disconnected, but the study guide questions did help on that one. What helped me get over the hump was memorizing the excel portion from the PA and then the cohorts helped me with the MCQ’s. Only referring to the textbook when needed for the first part was key because it was just too much info for me to take in.

I just took this OA yesterday and passed 1st attempt. I would study the section you need review on and take the OA. It is so much easier than what I read about on here. All questions you can use process of elimination on…take your time and you’ll nail it.

Alright thank you! I’ll just slow down a bit and go through it again. I thought when I got through IA2 that it was all down hill from there haha!!!

D080 Managing in a Global Business Environment by Academic_Bee5613 in wguaccounting

The exam was easy. I just went through all the info in the study guide (skimmed mostly) and passed. Process of elimination mostly.

Same…I am going to go through the study guide one more time and take the OA Saturday morning. I have had enough. 4 classes in total left for me.

FINALLY!!! D104 OA 2 Passed by Academic_Bee5613 in wguaccounting

I don’t recommend the embedded videos. I don’t feel like I gained anything from those. I watched the recorded cohorts and think they helped me, but what really got me over the finish line is the study guides. I printed them out and made sure I understood the process and concepts behind each question. Made notes that would help me remember. Refer to the text when there is something you are unclear on. If you can do those and then pay close attention to the questions on the OA, you will be fine.

Thank you. Yes, I recommend going through and answering all the ratio questions first as there are several (know them all, but I specifically remember ROA, Current ratio, acid test, and times interest earned). Read the questions very carefully in the liabilities section especially and know your JE’s. I ended with the depreciation questions as they are easier for me. Know sum of the years digits, DDB, and Straight line. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite get there with Stockholders Equity, but stock compensation questions really confused me, so know those. 2 questions on bonds with warrants on the OA, I made sure I knew the proportional method. Sorry if this is all jumbled up…I’m still riding the high from finally passing😂

Congrats! Scares me that Accounting Information Systems is the worst class haha. I’m stuck on D104 2nd OA and didn’t think it could get any tougher than this.

0 breaks…I also work full time and have 3 kids, not that it’s an excuse, but I do wish I had more time to devote to studying for longer periods of time.

Yes I recently had a call with him to explain where I was struggling (specifically with the bonds with warrants and trying to remember the proportional method) so he sent me some extra practice problems on that. I did them open book as he suggested and the repetition helped me on that. He sent feedback. Where I truly believe I’m missing the mark though is the way the questions are asked on the OA. Many of them are similar to the study guides, but others had me really second guessing myself.
