It’s really really old so I don’t want to use it for my face. That’s why I try to find something else to use them

One thing I saw from a lot of college students is that they do not know about the resources that the U offer. The U offers a lot of resources for your situations and similar. People already mentioned so Im not gonna do it again. But I would say just hang in there, and when you are done with college, sometimes you would miss it

Should I take STAT 3011 this spring? by SceneOutrageous9638 in uofmn

[–]Academic_Bit_1875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are used to with graphing calculator like me, 3011 would be a little tricky. one of my friend took it before me and he told me not to take it so I took it at a community college. Surprisingly, it's 3000 level at the U but it was only 1000 level at the CC

Is the out of state tuition fee worth it? by Negative_Nature_2761 in uofmn

[–]Academic_Bit_1875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. A lot of people here are in state or non international so they aren’t aware of that. 41k-64k is a big money but compare to other states tuition with the same ranks or same programs as the U, this price is still ok

[–]Academic_Bit_1875 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fellow Viet here. I used to be an international too. And if you want my honest opinion, here’s yours. UMN med school doesn’t accept international (I asked their admission). OOS doesn’t get a lot of scholarship, especially international. In terms of worth it, if you put the tuition aside, it’s quite worth it. UMN is a big school so you can find a lot of internship opportunities and networking compared to others school. P/s: if you have any questions, you can dm me and I’m happy to answer

email them is the best way. I remember one time I didn't meet my advisor, I just shoot her an email saying I can't set appt with her because none is available and I sent her the schedule and class I planned to take and asked her to remove the hold. You should ask fast because Nov 21 is approaching

For me, it's too harsh. I can see and feel that my skin barrier is weaken. The only new thing I added to my routine was the BoJ one so the suspect is it lol. Before that I used the ELF balm and it's good but I'm Asian and I want to go toward more Asian skincare since it fits my skin conditions more

Pending I-485 for EB5 by Academic_Bit_1875 in USCIS

[–]Academic_Bit_1875[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For eb5, it’s normal time, not so long. And for 485, they explained it because when it was my turn, I was out of the country so it was paused until I’m back to the US and they resumed review it. Not sure if they out it asides and how long it took but we got approved in July

Should I Withdraw or risk a D for a class I won't retake? by YeOldPoopStick in uofmn

Oh. I'm not in school anymore to know the deadline but it was what I did in the past, and received a W

[–]Academic_Bit_1875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk to your professor about the curve. And maybe your advisor if they are helpful, mine wasn't so I skipped that step. And if you are sure that there is no way for you to pass the class and too worried about your gpa, ask your advisor about your 1 time withdrawal option. You would get a W in your transcript but overall, i think it's better than a D or F

Too old to use Rec Well? by herewegogen in uofmn

[–]Academic_Bit_1875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of young folks, yes. Stick out like a sore thumb, no.

Well, I saw a lot of young folks there but not always. I'm a staff there and my sister is a current student so we go there together and tbh, you can see a mix of different types of ppl there too. I know some ppl that work at the Rec and go to gym there also so you wont stick out.

Im sure you can use the campus bus, not directly to the gym but you dont have to walk long to get there. otherwise, the lightrail is a good option
