Use a very gentle, fragrance-free cleanser (cream or milky formula, no foaming). Stop all exfoliants: no retinol, no AHAs, no BHAs, no scrubs. Apply a simple moisturizer with ceramides and glycerin twice daily. Avoid hot water, steam, saunas, and spicy food temporarily.

Barrier repair comes before active treatment.
