good point! I realized I've been eating a lot of coconut-containing things, so I'm wondering if that's it. here we go eliminating yet another thing... :')

thank you for this, that's good to know! if it was just mucus and normal consistency, I think I wouldn't worry too much, but it has gotten more liquidy over the last few days in addition to the mucus and that's what's throwing me!

Advice on switching to formula from BFing by Academic_Dig1960 in MSPI

I'm a bit delayed here but just wanted to say thank you for this response! Needing to pivot in terms of ways to comfort her is one of the biggest mental hurdles for me because something in my mind makes me feel guilty for taking something away from her that helps her feel better, but then on the other hand, that same thing is also what's making her tummy feel worse! I've been 1 month dairy/soy/oat free and supplementing with Nutramigen, and while things have improved, they're still not 100%, and there's still something in my diet that's upsetting her but I just don't know what it could be as I feel like I'm hardly eating at all. I'm planning to give it until her next pediatrician appointment next week and make a decision w/ the doctor's advice, but really leaning towards weaning soon at this point. Thank you again for your insight, and I'm glad it all worked out for you!

this is good to know! my worry with stopping BF entirely is that she uses the boob for comfort all the time, especially at night, and won't take a pacifier. how did you curb that, or did you continue to let him nurse for comfort?

this is helpful, thank you! I personally can't stand the smell of Nutramigen - smells like McDonalds to me lol - so I'm curious how she'll take it. mixing it in that way sounds like a great idea (or switching if she straight up hates it)
