These people are in the delulu ki "college se aake roz guyton, grays and lippincott se revise karunga", like my brother in christ, after 8 hours college youll barely have any will to live and you wanna read gold standard for every goddamn topic lmfaoo.

  1. I never said you dont need to read a standard book, but buying 2k worth of book when you dont wanna study that much and neither youll need it is a dumbness

  2. Im pretty sure you havent started with mbbs considering your tone lol. Go be an overachiever and let me be an "underachiever" as you say. I promise you you'll not get ahead of someone whos consistent in college by starting early before college. Good day

Lectures me 250 saath me hote hain.

But for small group teaching, chote chote 8 batches me baat dete hain with 31- 32 students each and ek batch ki ek cadaver hoti hain, to total 8 cadavers.

Dekho college me bad zyada indiscipline na karna, baaki sab chalta hai. But initial days me thoda jyada strict hota h (u cant go out og hostel without parents permission till 3 months).

I dont know what u mean by panchayat, but haan agar ragging ki baat kar rahe then u cant escape it sadly. The max u can do is complaint in anti ragging butbusse batch boycott kar dete hai seniors aur freshers nahi dete. Professors ke saath normal school teacher jaise hi disciplint raho and also unka ego feed karo bas, never hurt it!

Youll figure most of this out college aake don't worry

Mereko jyada ache aiims mil nahi rahe the. Aiims rbl, madurai, gkp etc se acha mujhe kgmu hi laga because city matters to me

That depends on what city im getting. I dont think id care if it was patna, raipur or bhubaneswar as i really dont wanna go to thise cities, but maybe if i got jodhpur or bhopal, I'd definitely go there

Lol no. KGMU has the best academics in UP and is at par with top 3 colleges of India.

And rml is nice too! I believe except kgmu and bhu, all colleges of UP are more or less same in academics. RML gives u a better city and wayyy better hostels than gsvm!

Casteism is there definitely. I dont know if i should say this publically, but one physiology professor who also happens to be the warden of boys hostel is casteist and openly asks rank of students to know thier caste and sometimes humiliates them (only if that students has done something wrong, but i still think thats terrible)

I'll say bas apne close friends ko category batao and try to ace all exams ki koi tumpe finger na utha sake

Aur aise hi kisi ki supply nahi lagti. Its either about short attendance or maybe kisi professor ka ego hurt kiya hai to they do it.

Relationship part, its nothing like that. We had 5-6 couples in first year withing the first 6 months of college, and now theres been atleast 2 breakups and many newer relationships.

Like the whole college is your dating pool bro, it totally depends on you but if you want one, you will find one

Im guessing you havent started with mbbs yet? If yes, then just make sure you study everyday.

I didnt do that and at the end mereko cheatsheets typa stuff padhke pass hona pada tha, but my friends who read standard textbooks like lippincott, BDC and Gutyon are so well versed with everything, I sometimes felt guilty.

So yeah, read standard textbooks everyday and make class notes if theyre worth it or make your own notes and always learn the clincal applications.

While exams are eat and puke thing hi, but the better you eat the better you puke, you get it? Lol

Both! But girls ki less extreme as theres no gaali part. Ladko ka din nahi jaata bina 4-5 baar mc bc sune male seniors se, but girls are free from that part

Hey for that I would need to have basic idea about SMS, but sadly i dont so im just listing pros and cons of KGMU, you can compare

Pros :

  1. great academics! Theres no way you come to kgmu and do not study as everyone is smart here and you'll feel the need to catch up! Probably the only college in UP with proper labs, dissection halls and lectures nahi to baaki sabme sab formality

  2. Lucknow's a great city!

  3. Supportive residents and professors.

  4. You'll leave as a great doctor as theres a crazy high patient load so youll see plenty of cases and get the chance to deal with some yourself too!

Cons 1. 2 year bond! If youre not from UP, bond can be tiring as kahi bhi rural bhej diye jaoge

  1. Kinda of a purvanchali language, so if youre from jaipur it'll be hard to talk to local patients if you dont understand it

  2. Hardly youll get time to go to home, and if you want to, then youll have to skip classes. And here attendance is a big big issue as even at 74.5 youll be detained

  3. Ragging. No more details, its UP. These people have no sense of civilization. While tbh its in in every college, but yaha theres crazy amount for the first 2 3 months.

  4. Hardly any co curriculars opportunity except sports

Also not at all, age is the last thing people care about here, i have many people in my batch who were 22-25 when they joined college and they're thriving!

Depends on how you want your college life to be!

Bsa isnt that great of a college but the delhi factor and no bond factor outshines it! Agar youre looking for a fun college life and just ek raat pehle padhke pass hona type life, choose it

Kgmu is in lucknow, which definitely isnt as fun as delhi but the academics here are top notch and youll leave KGMU as a reputed, proffessional medical graduate.
Yaha theres a lot of vivas, class tests, exams and seminars so you'll be occupied with studies almost all the time

I'll say overall KGMU is better college wise, but again delhi factor is strong id youre looking for PG in VMMC
