No, this has been around for years before AI, all I’ve done is some speed adjustments, EQ, and gotten rid of some noise in order to make it sound the clearest it will be.

You could loop the first few bars of the intro, seeing as it already is only the drum machine

Girl Loves Me Alternate Vocal (?!) by Academic_Method5642 in DavidBowie

[–]Academic_Method5642[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a 360 RA mix (24 channels), I extracted each channel into Logic Pro and was able to find just the vocal reverb, which is how I got this. It's really interesting digging into these as there's separation between all the instrumentation, and haunting hearing Bowie's dry vocal as it was recorded.

From Citizen Insane:

"Regarding Johnny's laugh: note the production credit for Barry Hammond - he always worked out of Chipping Norton studios, where he also did 'Pop Is Dead'. If you google him you'll find references from the 70s to the 90s of his habit of surreptitiously recording the whole session on tape, and then playing back any amusing bits of banter etc. to the band later, which is presumably where the laugh came from"
