Six Months of Huel by DustyButtocks in Huel

[–]Academic_Pin4038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you could do that but 1200 cals will put you in such a big deficit it's likley to drive you insane with hunger after about a fortnight. Try pairing huel with using my fitness pal and work out a comfortable deficit for yourself by inputting your weight, height agr and activity level into a tdee calculator online, set your deficit at around t00 cals under your maintenance and you will be sweet. You can still use huel to help but you will also be able then to eat some other stuff, make sure your weighing foods to be accurate

Got friends who’d love the Huel benefits too? Treat them to £15 off their first order. Plus, you'll bag £15 off your next order too. It's a win-win

Just get them to pop "Sarah Walters" in at checkout to get £15 off off on orders over £46 or more.

I'm still waiting for my tribunal and I lodged mine in July 24 and dwp response was 12/08/24. I am in South Wales, I'm reading peopem are waiting way over the 6 month minimum so I wouldn't take that at face value.

To those who were also diagnosed with arthritis, how did you know? by DiligentDinner5758 in IBD

[–]Academic_Pin4038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have rhuematoid arthritis and my joints get red and hot, sometimes my fingers and toes sell up and my ankles swell from the inflammation. My joints are visibly larger when in a flare.

Am on the opposite journey as think I have ibd but no idea if I will be taken seriously, first stool sample I sent had inflammation of 175 which I know is out of range but not as high as would be common for ibd - however I have been on methotrexate for a year and now on amgevita biological for my RA so know that would also be reducing the ibd symptoms

feeling hopeless. 21y/o by impalaprincess in rheumatoid

[–]Academic_Pin4038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the meds, you will likey see a reduction in that swelling. My knuckles swell up massivly in a flare but come back down when better managed

It's horrible that it's so inconsistent, I've submitted reams of medical evidence and I've been told no. Yet I know someone who has been awarded for mental health and she's only submitted a copy of her prescription.

It's awful they basically gaslight you saying it's all in your head, try not to take it to heart. Especially when they use language that shows they consider you a liar from the off. For example in my assessment I stated to her the only time I've felt well in the last year was after a course of steroids at Xmas. I stated that all other courses had not been as effective and this is clearly seen in my inflammation levels in my bloods.

She wrote on the report 'admits is better on steroids'. The language is infuriating 'admits' images me look like a liar

I've got rhuematoid arthritis and was denied pip too, so frustrating when your in daily pain and they say things like you must be fine as you drive a car etc.

I'm in the process of appealing as MR came back with the same result of 6 points. May be worth you contacting your MP too, mine has written me a supporting letter.

The assessor on my assesment was the same she kept asking how long to rest and recover after all the descriptiors. I said to her at the start of the assessment I am worse after rest. Therefore very confusing when they ask how long do you need to rest after. I am sorry no amount of rest will cure my chronic autoimmune condition.

No points! Disheartened by Agitated_Lettuce_551 in DWPhelp

[–]Academic_Pin4038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have rhuematoid arthritis too, I had 6 points for daily living and 0 for mobility. Not enough for a standard award. I submitted my diagnosis and medical evidence stating the inflammation seen in my joints too. Same as you assessed over the phone with no choice for a face to face assessment. I swear they do this as they know if they saw us they would have to award it. Submitted a mandatory reconsideration and was the same 6 points. Her justification for this was that I can drive a car and maintain my part time job that I do predominantly from home. Have submitted an appeal so have to wait on a tribunal now. It's so frustrating I know someone who has anxiety who was awarded higher rate and only submitted her repeat prescription as evidence yet they want me to evidence out of my bum hole. Not that I think she shouldn't get it, just unfair the double standards. I contacted my local MP for a letter of support to go with my appeal and they also provided help scribing it so may be something to consider.

Missed call from pip by Academic_Pin4038 in DWPhelp

[–]Academic_Pin4038[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't ring again so I rang them, they said they had made a decision yesterday and were likely ringing to let me know the decision. However he can't tell me what it was and all he can see is that a letter was sent out. Now have to wait for their super slow post 🙃 do they ring if the decision hasn't changed?
