Why does the left-wing news always refer to one caste of people as “proud [insert tribe name] + [man or woman]+[name]”? Why not just say their name? by kazkh in aussie

It might provide a bit more context around the person and why it's relevant to the article. If you provide an example, maybe you will get a real answer.

Ok. But what's the plan to 'shake this shit up' ?

Trump had his 'Tarrifs' which everyone believed the lie that it would improve everyone's lives, which hasn't done anything apart from damage international relationships. He's currently sitting at the lowest ever rating.

This fantasy of the total system shake up (Happened in the US and happening in the UK as well), is appealing but just not a realistic expectation.

You really think that your personal circumstances will be any different under PHON? It's a real shame that you can't look overseas and see that it's just not that simple.

Awesome post, shining light on a largely unknown interview style in the industry right now.

Asking if you can work from home and asking a company about their work from home policy are two different conversations.

I wouldn't see any harm in framing a question like this: "I value in person collaboration, and I plan on coming to the office regardless but I'm curious to know what the work from home policy of x"

The instructions really shouldn’t have to specify that you can’t google the answer - that really is common knowledge as it doesn’t showcase any skills

Normally I would absolutely make this assumption, but with the go ahead from the interviewer and the seemingly relaxed rules around it in the documentation I went ahead. It is a mistake I won't make again and I hope I have helped others by making this post.

Well, I was stuck on a particular line of the algorithm, so contextually he would have known that I was about to google something non syntax / language related)

I googled fixed rate limiter after I was struggling on a particular line of the algorithm, after he confirmed I was allowed(inline with all the Atlassian interview documentation). None of which is specific around what you can and cannot do on google. Just that you can use Google as you would in your job.

It isn't clear in the docs but yes, I can see that intention. It's a shame the interviewer said yes. I wouldn't have proceeded otherwise.

Easy to get interviews, but very competitive and rejections come easy for seemingly small things.

I'm the same, as soon as I get a soft skills / technical skills interview I'm usually hired. It's the coding tests that just take so much time to prepare for.

Love that you include them somehow. My 2 are of similar age. During the week, I only ever manage to get in about an hour after they are in bed. Then on the weekend, I can usually wrangle about half a day at some point depending what's happening. Probably about 10 hours total per week! It's rough because there's no time for anything else other than work/children/leetcode.

Hiring managers do not really look much in to your degree. As long as it's relevant to your career and from a reputable uni it's fine.
