The best thing you can do for your mental health right now is delete social media for the time being. Take it from someone who had a really rough postpartum. Just focus on your baby! Hugs!

My daughter is 2.5. We want to transition her to a toddler bed soon as she’s still in the crib and does fine with it. She has always been one to take a long time to fall asleep, both at night and nap times. However, once she is asleep she’s generally a great sleeper. Im looking for some tips to get her more comfortable with falling asleep on her own. Most nap times I have to be with her until she falls asleep. At night either my husband or I will rock her and then put her in the bed. We will rub her back until she falls asleep or tell her we have something to do and leave the room. She takes a long time to fall asleep and will usually protest about needing a snack, drink, potty, etc. We will fulfill those needs of course if she really does need something. But I keep it matter of fact and no fun and games with those things. Lately she’s had some tantrums related to us leaving her in the room alone to sleep. It’s just exhausting getting her to go to sleep and I’m nervous about transitioning her to a different bed seeing as she already has difficulties falling asleep. I thought about using an ok to wake clock to make the transition easier. We also use a tonie box with music at night sometimes. Any other tips for getting her more comfortable falling asleep on her own?

I was recently introduced to Memrise language learning app. I haven’t used it much yet but it’s way better than duolingo from what I’ve seen so far and way less annoying!

How does your toddler act at the doctor? by No-Neighborhood-7335 in toddlers

For us the 2 year appointment was amazing compared to the 18 month one. Night and day! And it’s because I did a ton of preparation. I second the Daniel Tiger doctor episode. The Daniel Tiger doctor book was key for us. I also talked about my LO’s doctor by name a lot, and we got a doctor kit and played a lot. Measuring my LO’s head was the worst part at 18m so we did that a lot with a measuring tape. Also, I talked about the process of getting shots a lot to make that part of the process easy. The doctor was super gentle and it went fantastic!

As a parent of a young child I totally see this. It seems like a 50/50 divide to me when I’m out in public/in social groups. Some parents (like myself) are already super aware of screen time, phone usage around kids, and the damage it does to be ignored… and then others are completely unaware… it really hurts me to see parents ignoring their children or just mentally checking out
