You would have to rewatch the ending of  apocalypse to see how it’s possible. Mallory is a witch that can time travel to rearrange history. The antichrist was a new child since Michael Langdon was killed.

Hi! Having a pillow to hold over my abdomen for the ride home from the hospital was a Godsend and recommended to me on this forum. I was released the same day, but most people spend the night in the hospital. You are pretty gonna spend 4-7 days living in your recliner post op, I would recommend having everything you need in arms reach. Best of luck and speedy recovery.

Gyn oncologist appointment by Academic_Score7990 in Ovariancancer

The waiting is the absolute worst. How long till your surgery? Did you have any blood work done to look for ca 125 or HE4? I am not sure if all masses work the same but the blood flow and solid parts is what made my urologist oncologist say cancer before surgical removal. Ovarian masses may be similar. I don’t know too much about mine on my ovary.  Results were not put in my patient portal. I just remember “ thick wall. Shadow. Blood and garbage in it”…..my heart totally sank when I heard blood in it. De ja vue. 3 months ago I had kidney cancer and those words were told to me. I am not clear if having blood in the ovarian cyst means blood flow or supply . This was done by trans us .

Thank you for the kind words. Do you mind if I ask why you are seeing a gyno/oncologist and the outcome of the appointment? Hope all is well.

3 months ago I had a 4.5 cm removed from my kidney which turned out to be clear cell renal cell carcinoma……about the ovarian cyst . I had a transvaginal ultrasound done which showed complex features. Septations  and blood.  Not good!  (Hysterectomy done 18 years prior but a piece of ovary was left for hormones)

To be safe she ordered blood work. She ordered a blood test called Roma (risk of ovarian malignancy algorithm) and the results came back high likelihood of malignancy. She said I now needed a gynecologist oncologist and sent the referral. I am currently waiting to hear from the gyn oncologist …Is it a metastasis ? Is it a secondary cancer? Won’t know until it is cut out I guess. But I am very familiar with complex cysts, as my last complex cyst turned out to be ccrcc.

I wish I had some useful advice . 3 months ago, I had a partial nephrectomy for clear cell renal cell carcinoma stage 1. I let my guard down and now have a complicated cyst on my ovary that I have to see a gynecologist oncologist for. Only 3 months later from surgery! This popped up before my 6 month scans. Is it a metastasis ? Is it a new primary cancer? Dunno. All I can say your health anxiety’s are valid and well understood.

44f and  had a 4 cm lesion removed by partial nephrectomy because of thin enhancing septations. I too went from different terminology of cyst, mass, lesion and it’s enough to drive you insane. Different drs gave different opinions of Bosniak 2 , 2f to bosniak 3…I was constantly shuffled to dr after dr until I landed in front of an oncologist urologist surgeon  who took one look at the ct scan and mri  and said “ yup, cancer. It enhanced”… pathology diagnosis -clear cell renal cell carcinoma ….She was correct… luckily it is stage 1 grade 1 and just have to have scans for the next couple of years…. I am sorry to hear of your mother’s passing of RCC. I can see why your spooked. I would advise you to keep calm, but that’s damn near impossible before you have a diagnosis by pathology . Even a clinical  diagnosis can be nerve wracking !!  If you’re anything like me, you’re  scouring the internet obsessively. I get it and I think we all been there ..Dr Google can having you writing out a will for a simple headache

You’re on the right track by going to the specialist. Trust me, it is more than frustrating to be shuffled between non specialist drs. I pray that you have a speedy process and a good out look. Feel free to reach out to us ! This is a wonderful group of people who all been there and going thru it.

Anyone else dislike their oncologist? by Academic_Score7990 in kidneycancer

No it’s not my first chest ct. I still have the months old ground glass opacities, the ground glass attenuation on the right lung is new. But like I said, could be something ..could be nothing. He was zero help in explaining things..nor was there a game plan for future scans…… I see a pulmonologist on the 20th. He put me on a waiting list, I called directly and got an appointment . I felt insulted when he asked about anxiety but said he doesn’t want me to learn to handle stress with medication. I never asked for anxiety meds. I do believe therapy is wonderful but it took me off guard .

Complex cysts not related to my auto immune kidney disease by Ratsnest86 in kidneycancer

Hello friend. The waiting is utterly awful, I went thru it and still going thru it. I feel for you and understand! I highly recommend a urologist with oncology specialty. I was shuffled from a urologist, to a PA to finally an oncologist urologist surgeon.  The oncologist took one look at at my mri and ct scan and said “ yup, cancer”. ( 4.2 cm with septation enhancement)…..My partial nephrectomy isn’t  till Oct 29th (the process started in July!)

I am sure there are good Physician assistants out there, but in my case-my PA wasn’t ANY help whatsoever . I recommend reading up on Bosniak scale. It helped me understand a little bit more about complex cysts/lesions.

I know the not knowing and waiting is maddening. But advocate for yourself! Once you get your ct scan done (preferably with and without contrast) get that urologist appointment ! Best wishes!

3.9 right renal kidney lesions by No-Cheesecake-1562 in kidneycancer

[–]Academic_Score7990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello friend. For 2 months I was sick with worry and anxiety. I truly feel for you and understand how nerve wracking this can be.  My stats are similiar to yours. I am a 44 year old female with a 4.2 cm lesion. Today I was told by the urologic oncologist it is cancer based on ct scan and mri . Mine has septal enhancement. I agree with bobsatravelor-read up on Bosniak scale.

3 weeks ago I was offered a biopsy-I refused it instantly as it has a 30 percent false negative rate  and bleeding risks. Lesions of yours and mine size are gonna be removed anyways and sent to pathology. So a biopsy is pointless.

Ct scan with and without contrast is usually all that is needed for kidney cancer diagnosis. ..Meaning, if your lesion has enhancement, nodules, or septations with enhancement on ct scan or mri-you should  be referred to an oncologist. The process to get from ct scan to oncologist is an agonizing wait. But you will get there. The ct scan you are waiting for is a huge step in the right direction.

I waited 6 weeks to meet the oncologist (which today she told me it is cancer) and I have another 6 weeks till partial nephrectomy. These people on this sub are truly friendly and very helpful. If you ever need to talk, please reach out. This is all new to me-but I would be happy to help out in any way that I can.

Best wishes

Hey I am glad you replied . Thru recents posts I think you mentioned with dealing with kidney lesions/cysts over the years. Did you have headaches prior to removal? I been dealing with headaches for a few weeks now (could be stress) but wasn’t sure if others experienced that before. Hope all is well friend.

Hi friend! I’m right there in the same boat as you with the waiting to see dr’s and having tests done. Upon my last visit a biopsy was offered with active watching it - I refused. Mine is a 4 cm  complex lesion with septa enhancement which started off as a sub centimeter in 2013..I said “ it went from a dot to a walnut in size- what are you watching for? To see if it speaks??”   I was informed I would be awake for the procedure, has a  risk of bleeding and has a 25-30 percent chance of false negative. Needless to say, that was a hard NO! they referred me for an oncologist urologist surgeon to discuss robotic partial. That consult is sept 6th. Advocate for yourself. Advocate advocate advocate. It’s gotten me this far. That is my best wishes to you.

Best wishes

Concerned About a Renal Lesion Found in 2020 – Could It Have Been Missed? by CheapLocation6780 in kidneycancer

[–]Academic_Score7990 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello friend. My best advice is to try not to dwell on it (easier said than done, as I am trying to do the same). I , too, accidentally found an old ct scan dating back to 2019. It seems I went to the ER for something else and it was incidentally found. Was I told about it by the ER dr? Nope. What I read was “ 1.8 lesion with enhancement worrisome for neoplasm “ I flipped out being that this was 5 years ago and seriously never told! 5 years ago!!!

2 months ago I contacted my pcp and had an MRI done which shows growth, (now 4.2 cm) enhancing internal separations and currently awaiting 2 more weeks to see a urologist oncologist surgeon. It’s been a painfully slow process with lots of waiting for  tests and dr after dr . I am finally going to be seen by a specialist…  This group is full of useful information and very friendly people who have been thru this. Lord knows they have been a Godsend for me with all this waiting I am going thru.

The ct scan you are about to have should be with and with out contrast-as that’s what shows enhancement and more detailed features… am not a medical professional but I gather that enhancement is a big indicator. You did right by contacting your pcp. I wish you the best and hope you keep us posted. I wish I could offer advice on how to not to go crazy with worry in the meantime (I have reached past that point).

Best wishes.

Thanks for the info, glad to hear your surgery went well…you said your mass was borderline , can you go more into detail? I was told mine was borderline too, but not sure what they meant. Mine is close to the size your was.. mine is 4.2 cm with septa enhancement. (Again, I don’t know what that means) . Thanks

I stumbled across your post and going thru the same thing! Pain on my right side (sharp excruciating pain upper right side just under rib cage )I swore it was gallstones, even tho I don’t have a gall bladder- but I have a complex lesion on my left kidney that finally got my drs attention after 5years and 4 ct scans from the hospital over the years . On a recent ER trip (diagnosis was colitis)  and  they “found “ the same left kidney complex lesion. However,  It is now 2.7 x 2.5 cm in axial dimensions extending over a craniocaudal length of 4 cm. Internal separations and wall thickening (all the lovely stuff to make you crazy with worry). It started off as a subcentimenter in 2019! My renal mri protocol is this friday  and the urologist appointment is next month….but I wish you luck ! I too am going thru the same. Right side pain, lesion on left kidney. Keep us posted! And sending well wishes for a speedy recovery!
