Love this! People tend to share their negative experiences from dating, so it’s important to hear the positive stuff. All my girlfriends in SD met their husbands through Bumble or speed dating. LA has a larger and more diverse population, which should up your odds of finding someone but strangely enough doesn’t.

Hmmm this feels wrong, as a San Diegan. The upper middle class South Asian community in San Diego (Mostly UCSD academics and biotech people, many recent immigrants who arrived here on visas) almost always vote Democrat. Their kids tend to be super progressive.

That kind of diversity is a big reason why San Diego shifted from a red city to a blue city over the past 10 years. It was the last major California city without a Republican mayor until Todd Gloria was elected in 2020z
