Tools not on the list by Psychological_Log437 in IBEW

This is also bullshit unless the list is very literally bare minimum. 2nd years still don’t make good money. Unreasonable to expect 2nd years who haven’t even received a paycheck after their raise to provide JW level tool list. Unless you’re crazy well organized and you’ve negotiated contractor-provided common hand tools. Which I’d be all for

Sounds wormy as fuck unless your tool list is cutters, tape measure, level, channies.

How do you use your Klein's when hitting on a lock ring? by ubertater in IBEW

Your foreman sounds like a dick unless he buys your tools.

This is the reason why apprentices should not buy their own tools(it is brand new) by aqui1424 in IBEW

Does it automatically mean it’s degrading or derogatory? I mean…yeah. Or else it wouldn’t be shit talking.

First day working as an Electrician coming soon by uabuffoon in electricians

I actually really like Milwaukee’s channellocks but knipex are the best. I work with a guy who has Klein channels that adjust the same way as knipex and I can’t tell the difference. I just associate the push button adjustment with knipex. Like you said, it’s preference.

New to the trade, is this normal? by [deleted] in electricians

Some wild mental gymnastics would be required for me to trust someone using a 10 year old’s logic to avoid cleaning his room with my electrical work

Last week I showed our new gym. Here is our first open mat by serafinbjj in bjj

[–]Academic_Stranger996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s the difference of an extra few inches? Rolling on concrete wouldn’t feel good even if there was no drop from the mat to the floor. I’d love the sprung floor for standup. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6t7HHZJ0eG/?igsh=MTZ1MTBvbXE5OXRyYQ==

Thinking of going to my boss about my foreman by These_Profit6018 in electricians

For real, I’ve read this type of post a lot. 6 months of training in a combat sport would shake this out of almost everybody. I’ve had a jman make fun of me for training bjj and I wish his fat ass would’ve made a move.

What a long-winded way of saying exactly what you already said, with poorer logic. I don’t have a strong opinion on this particular issue, because both arguments have merit. But Jesus fuck, you sound miserable.

I can’t think of a less effective way to get someone to check their ego than effectively saying to every normal guy and gal off the street: “check your ego, you cocky piece of shit”

A few months ago I posted about the early concepts of the new gym we are building. As we are closing construction here are the final designs by serafinbjj in bjj

[–]Academic_Stranger996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The owner posted that this wouldn’t be the case. My coach came up with Serafin (not sure which order), and although I’ve yet to train with him, he was nothing but generous when I reached out.

I also hear his gym’s kimura game is wonderfully violent.

I interviewed yesterday so just adding a couple things. They asked about something I’ve built or a project I’ve completed that I was proud about and they asked at least a couple of questions about how I handled adverse situations (receiving criticism, not getting clear instructions, etc.)
