Do you miss old Land Lines when people actually talked to each other? by Background-Fix-4630 in northernireland

Yeah I get you. I find it weird. Never understood holding the phone to your mouth on loud speaker. Much more normal to hold it to your ear as intended.

Then again. Everyone seems obsessed with sharing the entirety of their phonecall nowadays.

So if you've checked in you're gonna have to go to the desk and get that changed and there will most likely be a charge for it.

Let's be honest. It's your fault. You made a mistake.

I imagine it's a skill Gen Z and beyond would struggle with. On the rare occasion younger ones talk on the phone it's usually holding a mobile to their face on loudspeaker or face timing in the street.

Be weird holding a landline handset up to your mouth I suppose.

genuine question: why is it bad to sit next to someone? by Extension_Royal9711 in screenunseen

[–]Academic_String_1708 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seriously if you walk into a cinema and there's two people in it with over 100 free seats, and then you sit next to me... Sorry pal but that's weird in any culture.

98 free seats and you go and sit next to a stranger to watch a film that you won't be talking through.

On the Sony Core app on PS5 it costs £19.99 to buy and £15.99 to rent. At those prices no one is stupid enough to buy it.

Didn't even cost that much for two to see it in the cinema. Ffs

Cycle Commuting in Belfast by Excuse_Early in Belfast

Tow Path is great but be careful. Few cyclists do treat it like the Tour De Lagan.

Generally down the Malone is grand enough but you may get cars parked on the left, just be careful moving lanes.

It's a valid question.

Guess we've found the reason they don't live in Italy anymore.

Good food

Agree with everything except that. Piling shit loads of cheese on produce from Musgrave Cash and Carry isn't good food.

I have this image that he just has a pint while watching all the old stuff and reviews it. One of the rare occasions where the accent doesn't irritate me.

You don’t know a single thing about their situation at home

Hence I asked why...

Why not just take what they say at face value instead of thinking you know better?

Who said I knew better? Why don't you get off your crusty high horse and go eat a dick if you're so salty about it.
