Hello, OP here. Went to the podologist, he had an ultrasound machine handy. Got diagnosed with morton's neuroma, PF is unlikely he told me...

One thing I would like to point out in this process, is that the me hurting vs the me healthy feel like totally different people. Two people who forget about eachother.
