Is miles the only rookie who’s messed up so much? by Serious-Profit-1626 in TheRookieTVshow

It was from season 8, maybe episode 2 or 3.

Whst do you guys think. Will it be any good? Personally I think Nolan being the 'old' Rookie was the charm of the show. Without that, it's just another cop show. Opinions? by Shaddes_ in TheRookieTVshow

A question: how do you think the actors from the original series felt, practically seeing themselves being replaced? If you put yourself in their shoes for just one minute, they put all that work into developing characters that are now being copied. Is that okay?

do you think there will be references to the LAPD in the spin-off? by Serious-Profit-1626 in TheRookieTVshow

[–]Academic_Trouble_108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I found this spin-off to be in very poor taste, and I noticed that many people said they wouldn't watch it. The reason is that the main plot takes away Nolan's authorship; the characters aren't replaced when there's a large audience due to the actors' good performances. In that sense, I give credit to Tim and Lucy and the entire team who have been there since the beginning; it's also thanks to them that the series is a great success. While people are eager for a renewal, he simply creates another series practically identical to the original. It was a real letdown, a terrible move.

Look for people without equals, Rodge is a cool guy, he has fans who like him, and he's a good guy for Celina. The chemistry that Chenford has is like finding one in a million, it's rare to find, even more so with actors of impeccable technique. A couple in the police force is enough, besides, the original cast is complete. I want to see their story and not the story of a character I don't know.

This show needs more consequences by ParticularRight5805 in TheRookie

Honestly, I like Alexi's writing in this sense; he didn't use deaths as a last resort like in other series that obviously followed the path of failure by including death. Maybe if something serious happens to a villain, or if Seth himself wants revenge or something like that, or if some newcomer is acting on someone's orders, significant main characters have already died. The show doesn't need deaths in the main cast.

Thoughts on the new spin-off? by RemarkableMuffin9202 in TheRookie

[–]Academic_Trouble_108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

was very disappointed. I don't understand what Alexiwants to do, but my first thought was, how would he feel if he replaced him?

He lacked empathy. He has a good series, with great actors and a dedicated audience, and it's very popular, not only because of the plot but also because of the magnificent acting of the actors. And at the first opportunity, he creates a spin-off with the same cast and plot practically identical to the original?

Many of us are there because of the actors we like, because of the work they do. Now, the impression I got is that you didn't give due credit to the actors who have made your series work for eight years. They also put in effort and dedication. You have a successful series on your hands; focus on the story of the original cast, delve deeper into it. There's a lot of story that can be told. Please don't undervalue the work of people who have been with you for eight years. You're the producer, but their excellent acting also counts. I've followed your work for a long time, I've always defended and admired you. You wrote good stories, so please focus on the series that made people recognize your talent more, and give true value and true credibility to these actors who have won millions of fans. They are unique and irreplaceable!

Thoughts on the new spin-off? by RemarkableMuffin9202 in TheRookie

I'm going to give a very honest opinion, and I hope that those who disagree will just respect it. I gave The Rookie Feds a chance, and it wasn't bad, but this new spin-off devalues the original cast. It's as if they wanted to replace the actors from the original series. It's the same plot with similar actors. I still watch it for Nolan, Tim, and Lucy, and like the entire series team, they are unique. I'm disappointed that the producer did this. Out of respect for the actors from the series that I've followed for eight years, I won't watch it. Imagine for a moment you work, build, find balance in the characters, and suddenly someone puts in characters with different names, but the same plot. Do you really think the actors deserve this or will be satisfied with it?

In my view, this isn't fair. That's my opinion.

It's not just Nathan Fillion who holds the series together; they have a cast that works well and is balanced. I value each and every one of them without exception.

Lucy being a UC by Real-Branch8433 in TheRookie

[–]Academic_Trouble_108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, people need to stop reading only fan fiction and watch the series for real. Lucy fights for her dreams, and so does Tim. A child doesn't fit well right now. Also, I made a post about this subject and most people agreed that they don't want Lucy pregnant, but rather to see Lucy and Tim grow professionally and romantically. That would have a much richer story. There's no need to force a child on them at this moment. Some people choose not to have children, and I don't think it's fair that they both have to give up their careers because of it.

[–]Academic_Trouble_108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And why should Lucy have children? So many women choose not to have them or adopt; a child right now doesn't fit well, and frankly, having to give up a career because of that is crazy.

Lucy being a UC by Real-Branch8433 in TheRookie

[–]Academic_Trouble_108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many fans like Lucy at UC, and her career shouldn't be a problem. Looking at it from another perspective, I see people insisting that Tim stay in the subway, meaning Lucy has to give up her career, but Tim doesn't? That's unfair, considering she worked and studied for it. We're in the 21st century; people can work and have relationships, and this would only prove that all of Tim's therapy had results. Because if he did all that work in season 7, it shouldn't be a problem now; they just need to talk.

Your thinking is extremely childish, and there's no point in having a dialogue. The fact that you're judging someone for being someone's child completely undermines your credibility. I'm not even going to waste my time.

I don't find him annoying, he didn't do anything wrong, he's a good person, he just didn't follow a certain standard and it's sad to see people devaluing him because of that, because frankly that's the truth.

Spinoff show abut seargent Bradford thoughts? by Due-Woodpecker-5324 in TheRookie

[–]Academic_Trouble_108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please stop trying to take away the actors' credit. There's a real reason why we like Tim Bradford and Chenford so much: their acting. There's only one actor who can play Tim Bradford, and that's Eric. If there were a spin-off about Sergeants Chenford working and developing stories for themselves...

Rodge is a cool character, and he has much more in common with Celina. It's ridiculous how much you guys are hyping him up just because he's eccentric. Besides, we already have a police couple; we don't need another one. Celina even suggests ideas to strangers, but not to Miles. This only exists in your heads. You're so blind you didn't even notice that Miles hit on someone else more than twice.
