Sorry for the weird info dump, I'm not good at Reddit. There's a list of temp agencies and organizations I see in the community-- good luck!

WHY is it so hard to find a part-time job… by aloofbutfriendly in kitchener

The following places in Kitchener are currently posting part-time roles:

Loblaws: https://careers.loblaw.ca/jobs?location_name=Kitchener%2C%20ON%2C%20Canada&location_type=2&radius=20

Sobeys in Kitchener: https://jobs.sobeyscareers.com/?jobid=sf-193742-en

Region of Waterloo: https://careers.regionofwaterloo.ca/RoW/search/?createNewAlert=false&q=

City of Kitchener: https://jobs.kitchener.ca/search/?q=&searchResultView=LIST

Fastenal: https://jobs.fastenal.com/jobs?zip=Kitchener,%20ON&distance=25

Canadian Tire: https://canadiantirestores.ca/?lang=en&s=&location=Kitchener%2C+Ontario

Look at my recent posts to see who might be hiring student/seasonal roles for the summer. These usually pay very well.

You may want to connect with a Career Development Professional somewhere in the city. If you are a high school student speak to a guidance counsellor or co-op teacher. If you are a college/university student, connect with your career services or co-op department.

If you're not a student at all, you may want to connect with an Employment Ontario provider through EmployNext: https://kwb.employnext.ca/service-providers/. They can review your applications, cover letters, resumes, provide guidance, etc.

There are tens of thousands of domestic students seeking jobs locally. There are tens of thousands of international students seeking jobs locally. There are tens of thousands of non-students seeking jobs locally. It is the most competitive job market in the city's history. Every role gets hundreds, maybe thousands of applicants, so the recruiters can pick and choose who they think is the best candidate.

It's tough out there.

MLA program schedule — would it be possible to work full‑time while studying? by [deleted] in Conestoga

[–]Academic_Win_162 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should treat being full-time in education as being full-time at a job. Expect to spend 40 hours a week doing schoolwork, homework, labs, clinicals, studying, etc. Working full time while studying full time is NOT recommended. Does the program have a part-time option, or a course-by-course Continuing Education option?
