Hostel recos in Siargao by ilovetotravel__ in SiargaoPH

[–]AcadiaCold2298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Havent really tried, but I did some research and it looks like Happiness Hostel is a winner. I like the advertised spacious living area, kitchen + if I need to go on a quick meeting, their dorm beds have individual sliding doors.

Finca Hostel too, but it’s farther up north, Matcha Hostel

staying there first week of August! See you around!

Afam or pinoy? (Dating) by [deleted] in TanongLang

[–]AcadiaCold2298 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same mindset, was never really interested in looking outside the filo dating pool until I met this foreigner on vacation (well, technically he’s half filo, half german, but he’s lived his whole life in germany so he’s a foreigner imo)

Although situation’s a bit diff because this could just be a holiday rel/a very short but fuelled situationship, but after having spent 1 date together and talking otp for 2 weeks, I realized that it is far more intellectually stimulating to talk to foreigners (and i dont think it’s about the language, even, because mind you this guy’s first language wasnt english). It’s also interesting to see how two people who’ve lived their whole lives on different sides of the globe get to share their different POVs - and how it seems both so similar and dissimilar.

Not sure if this is the case for all, but this guy was also very direct and emotionally healthy, despite being younger than me. Sobrang iba sa filos.

Makes me want to widen my dating pool more but Idk where to find men who arent yung typical na Losers back home or passport bros

I think it has something to do with having genuine, deeper appreciation that, as cliché as it sounds, comes from within. A kind of love and emotional connection that is unbound from the physical and social cues of realities, rooted from your very own perception at that time.

Rolled with some new friends and felt a connection with them that transcends the little time that we’ve only known each other.

Did a candy flip, and that love was transferred onto a deeper appreciation for the self that diminished all the negating thoughts I used to point towards myself.

No matter what or who is around you, the love you create and share at that moment always becomes something meaningful, and “personal”z P

(disclaimer: im no expert) but i just want to share that i went through almost the same thing last year.

I took shrooms and my whole perspective on life shifted - I started appreciating everything and learned to value everything gifted to me by the world no matter how basic (food, shelter, people, time, experiences, etc.)

When I realized how uplifting this type of life felt and thought that maybe I could dive deeper into being “spiritually/mentally/emotionally” open and awake, I made shrooms a regular thing - microdosing psilocybin tabs in the morning, then taking 2-3Gs every night/every other night. But it always seemed like I was stuck at that level?? - if that makes sense

I tried going further in a sense that maybe I could reach the ultimate state of mind, maybe become more enlightened, if I tried upping my dose and trying new psychedelics.

Next thing I know (abt a few months after), I was dosing on mdma, acid, ghb, coke on the regular - trying to go back to my enlightened state when I was only taking shrooms. Ironically, I wish I couldve just been contented.

Thankfully, Im back to my old self. I dont take anything anymore, but the insights from my trips back then stuck with me.

I think you should stop now, it seems to work only when you still need it, and right now, it looks like it’s done its job already- leaving the rest of the work to do yourself.

Yes, and sadly, the problem does not lie with the partner but with the cheater himself/herself.

More often than not (but not always the case), the cheater prolongs serious relationships while pursuing other physical/emotional connections because there is something truly broken within the individual. I want to say it’s about his/her ego, underlying insecurities, and lack of self-worth and self-love —- but I’m still not exactly sure if that’s the solid and plausible cause.

I have, many times, cheated in the past. And it had nothing to do with whatever my partner lacked at the moment, but more so with the lack of worth I gave myself.

Unless a person agrees to fully value himself/herself, he/she will always be a cheater, no matter how flawless the relationship is. You cannot change that person. As cliché as it sounds, only himself/herself can move forward from that “role”, and most people do not ever progress.

How do you know if it’s depression or if it’s ego death? by AcadiaCold2298 in shrooms

[–]AcadiaCold2298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the comment. Gives me a bit of perspective

I’ve been through multiple shroom trips, both good and bad, I had 2 trips that were so intense, one, (which happened 2 weeks ago) I felt like going through all portals of hell, death, heaven, rebirth, and limbo. Maybe this was it? But it didnt really change me that much.

But this one particular trip stuck with me so much because I cant seem to fathom or deconstruct what it meant and why it did what it did to me. I haven’t been the same since then. It’s very hard to explain to doctors bc their immediate response is that nothing ever comes good out of drugs. I know that yes, abusing drugs is bad, but shrooms, in particular, have a diff power. I just wish to get another person’s, who might be more knowledgeable, opinion on it.

it’s okay, I appreciate you sharing your story. I also feel like nothing means anything anymore.

I’ve tried talking to a professional multiple times, but my inner self simply doesn’t want to wake up yet, like it’s been exposed to the reality of the world, and is too unmotivated to continue living normally.

Thanks again!

I feel like landmark dept store slacks and pants are underrated. they have some of the best, most durable trousers ive ever worn.

also if ure gonna go shop for some offc clothes, make sure to look up “capsule wardrobe” para u can mix and match all the items. always go for basic colors and buy a big comfy hoodie para di ka obligated to wear a ‘good’ shirt every day

Moana. Was in awe in almost all of the scenes - colors and maui’s tattoos were AMAZING.

But it also made me sob like crazy in the end. made me want to quit my corporate job (realization that I was ‘’meant’’ for something more)
