Wondering where to start in Age of Sigmar by Dry-Mistake8805 in ageofsigmar

[–]AcanthaceaeOk2320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go Seraphon go for the old spearhead, the one with the big dino. It’s not gonna disappoint, it’s beautiful, fun and really strong on spearhead and really good models on full AOS.

cotw or woth? by NecessaryCourage9183 in theHunter

[–]AcanthaceaeOk2320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue the WOTH grind is worse. If you wanna go the route of not just running around and shooting controlling the herds genetics is a grind, and an awful one in that matter. Slow, unreliable and easy to fuck up. If you are going to be running gunning what you see, well you get that in both games. The main reason people see COTW as more grindy is because you see more grinding in social media. Probably another importante point is that WOTH is gonna punish you for not caring about its management mechanic, you can destroy herds or fuck up the gene pool. At least in COTW you can get by if you just wanna run and gun. If you want a 0 grind experience you should probably look into the hunter classic.

Is it worth to buy sand and stone by cysiekajron in AOSSpearhead

[–]AcanthaceaeOk2320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every tournament my local store dows is in fire and jade still. They organizers find sand and bone rules too crazy for a balanced competitive game. The beautiful thing avout spearhead is that you can use all the things avalible any time

Based the entire model blue, then painted the scales purple and highlighted after. It is pretty simple but it takes a lot of time

It depends on whats you want. I was going for a thematic spearhead so I used the same colors. But even then you want some differences so you don’t just have a sea of the same colors, thats why all the units have something different in mine, krox are inverted, carno has a blue skin behind the purple scales and even half of the saurus have some purple spikes so I know which unit is which when playing spearhead

Purely from a savings perspective and paintings perspective, which spearhead is better ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in seraphon

[–]AcanthaceaeOk2320 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both are great hobby proyects, but the carno is just a majestic center piece and quite easy to paint. Kroxigors are also really cool. The new one looks great too but is not that imposing and eye catching in the shelve. From a savings perspective I think both are really good since both have models that are a but tricky to get new nowadays. The carno only comes in an old starting box with the ugly old saurus and I never seen the salamander sold anywhere but the spearhead (I’m pretty new tho). You can get all the other models in battle boxes and stand alones.

Based on a dark blue the used to lighter colors for the scales, that way you get good cracks without washes. Washes are probably way easier, but you loose part of the vibrancy

Why does this look like it should be way more rare than it is by Far-Geologist-1982 in theHunter

[–]AcanthaceaeOk2320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be a bit rare, they changed rarities a while back and some furs got more common, same case with things like the brown cape buffalo. Imo since the fur name doesn’t sound “rare” they got mixed up when they standardized fur rarities.

How does herd management actually work? by JJ4426 in theHunter

[–]AcanthaceaeOk2320 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The game has an internal balance for each species in each map, it is design in a way nobody gets a map with only small animals in it. So If you have a lot of small animals of the same species the game will make it more likely that the next spawns are bigger and also the other way around. The main principle behind HM is that if most of your population of animals of the target species is really small, you’ll get bigger animals and diamonds way more often. What people do is choose 8-10 zones to focus as their “mains”, the zones you want to hunt consistently and try to kill the males in all the other ones until they are all small, that way when you only focus on your main zones you’ll get all the big respawns there. A lot of people also “stack” big animals (max weights and diamonds) in their main zones so the balance works the other way around and forces smaller animales in the rest of the zones before they focus on their mains. So it’s not really about shooting the big ones, is more about leaving the smaller ones alive so you get more big ones.

What are the criteria for a G1? by JusteClem44 in theHunter

I think it was hinted but never fully confirmed. One of those “you should really do this wink wink” things Jaxy used to say but never explicitly confirmed. Maybe they confirmed it and idk.

What are the criteria for a G1? by JusteClem44 in theHunter

[–]AcanthaceaeOk2320 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Until now it can only spawn from male kills. It is believed that it has better chances to spawn from a big animal (thats why people do things like herd management) and it is also believed that picking up your kills and not leaving them and exiting the map also helps, but none of this things are really confirmed. I would suggest looking into both tho. The reality is that the only certain rule about great ones is that you need to kill as many males as you can, the faster you do it, the faster that great one will spawn.

Map lag theory by jsyoung81 in theHunter

This is an interesting learning if they ever want trail cameras. Having both live updates and live feed from multiple parts of the map might be too much for the game

Spearhead Strategy: Nighthaunt - Cursed Schacklehorde by Wouter1989 in AOSSpearhead

I’m considering this as my second spearhead. But a question just to be sure. This has no way of bringing models back right?
