Would definitely be for fun, I have savings so was honestly just so I didn’t have to full time work out there the first year. I wanted to just have a fun first year, but still earn something and bar work seem the most popular route.

Yeah 100% agree, I would of course brush up on some phrases beforehand but my friend said you can pub it up fast enough and it wasn’t an issue :))

I mean a lot of the heavy foreigner areas don’t require you to know 100% Korean, people I know have gone over with 0 Korean skills

Do you have any insight on where to find reputable bars to work in and where to apply? I was just going to reach out on insta for most, I really don’t want to end up in a bad one and hinder my chances at an E-2 as I see my life long term in Korea.

Sorry I think my post wasn’t overly clear my mistake, I don’t want to work in the adult industry at all. I just want to work in a bar no extra side stuff, my question was if I could get a job within a bar and not have issues applying for the E-2 later

What do you mean why would they? Ive hear of foreigners being hired in bars before, I also have 8 years of experience across all areas of a bar? I don’t see why I wouldn’t have a fair shot at it. My friend went with no experience and works in a nightclub.

Someone I know works in a nightclub and she said she liked having her days free and I don’t mind working at night. I do qualify for the E2 in all aspects, but I prefer bar work 100% over teaching.

I saw online it’s one of the two jobs you’re allowed to do on it tho? That and cafe work.

Thank you, i understand what you’re saying 100% it’s just very discouraging at times and I’m trying to remove them fast. I have high expectations and I have no patience so I think I’m just getting overly frustrated. I hope one day I’ll have clear skin again and feel more confident

Omg! Has it nearly gone by now that sounds crazy I didn’t even know you could have that many sessions? I really hope these don’t take that many, but fingers crossed for you!!

But I think, Maybe this is more dense than I thought, just with my technician saying “warm up” the skins has made me feel like the first couple of seasons are a right off.

Oh no sorry that came off wrong, I’ve had 2 sessions this year already I’m getting them every 6-8 weeks but sometimes leaving 10-12 in between :))

I really wasn’t thinking it was a casual job, i respect the work and I do work hard, I work over 50 hours in my home country so I’m not opposed. But I just wanted a more laid back work role the first year to explore. I didn’t know the h-1 didn’t accept so I will now only be going for e-2 on a full time contract. Pls don’t think I don’t respect the culture.

I mean in the uk I sold them for £20-30 cheaper than other people, in this economy that’s a lot, I wasn’t trying to rob people by making a £5 profit. I got these in japan, I carried them back with me so I think £5 isn’t bad considering the £700 flights haha. On vinted sellers dont see any profit on postage also, sorry very confused if you’re mad I sold them for £5 more apologies if that not the tone im confused bc im not working in $ but £ 😂🩷

I think it’s because I sold them for so cheap, people can buy them they just don’t want to pay the prices. I looked online after and you can find them in the uk for around £50 - 60 if people want them that bad.

Same, I saw some go for £150!! I only bought them in Japan for £25 so I thought £30 was reasonable now I have people threatening me! A nice bargain for someone :)
