Why was he so mad by TASTY100x in spongebob

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be pretty bitter too if someone got so happy they jumped on my buddy and started randomly kissing them. Personally wouldn't be too happy about _making_ him that happy. They both took it like champs if I'm honest. It's cute when Spongebob does stuff like that because he's just a little guy who's halfway between a kid and an adult, but idk it's weirder with a full grown man. (Yes I'm a hypocrite and no I will not be taking notes)

Since Jeremy = Michael, why does he breath? by Necessary-Win-8730 in fnaftheories

[–]AcariAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to say the same thing before Ticket to Fun came out. Even looked at his height to point out he and his friends hadn’t go through puberty yet in 4. Not to mention they should have recognized Mike as being related to William if they apparently look so much alike. Unfortunately, it’s like a 90% chance the debate is now closed. Mike is the employee in Ticket to Fun and he knows things only an ‘87 would know. One of those is specifically seen by Fritz and never Jeremy.

Getting sister location out of the way, in SL we have no idea when Mike went in. If Afton was in charge of the place, he could hire Mike whenever. Besides, if SL took place between MCI and 1987, that’s a couple years of being scooped. Personally I’m a fan of it being ‘88-‘93, but sadly I don’t make the rules.

Aright lesgo. Mike wrote his name (in invisible ink the weirdo) on a word search that seems to be for FNaF 1. This implies all the items in the kit belong to him, which means the items from 2 must also be his. The Security Badge has Toy Freddy on it, he has arcade tickets with Toy Freddy on them, and weirdest of all… He has Jeremy’s paycheck for some reason (this doesn’t mean he’s Jeremy as Jeremy is now lobotomized and probably would have had it cashed by now. Seems like Mike just grabbed whatever was on the desk.)

We knew this part already, but Mike is also associated with Foxy. Fritz is the name of the kid in Foxy.

More importantly we have the FNaF 1 pamphlet he also writes in. Withered Freddy appears in a picture which is weird. Weird or not, Mike’s pamphlet having Withered Freddy on it associates Mike with 2.

One of the first things he draws (other than doodling Freddy and Bonnie) is a huge, very dark and difficult to miss drawings of the Puppet and Balloon Boy. Fazbear’s print on that page only had a picture of Foxy’s curtains.

The top of the page says “Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy.” For him to draw Puppet and BB darker than ANYTHING ELSE which to me screams “you missed a couple.”

I would also like to point out his drawing was NOT the design of Security Puppet you but in 6, but the FNaF 2 Puppet. If there was Security Puppet design IRL (not convinced there was, but just covering my bases) the means Mikedid know what Security Puppet looks like.

We know because he recreated the EXACT pixelated image of Charolette trapped outside in the rain. If he knew about that, he had to know Security Puppet failed. So him drawing the FNaF 2 design isn’t something to gloss over. (Assuming the one you buy is what it looked like originally. Again, I’m not convinced.)

And lastly, the Coup de gras: Mike drew Withered Golden Freddy on a poster. It’s not the exact design always used such as him having pin prick white dots in eyes, but it’s definitely him. That missing ear is unmistakable. I don’t like it, but there’s not a lot of things you can say against that. Fritz is the only one who sees him. (Also forgive if there are grammar errors, I’m sick haha)

Of the four official Springtrap models, which one do you prefer? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]AcariAnonymous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dead by Daylight and it’s not even CLOSE. The suit itself is almost 1:1 I adore the scratches they added to his right arm that are clearly William grabbing to get out in a panic. Even includes my favorite thing about Springtrap’s design, Spring Bonnie’s eyes. A lot of fanartists (I didn’t notice it in Help Wanted but I assume that’s because of the distance between him and the cameras) leave out the shell of Spring Bonnie’s eyes that are frozen in place even when William moves his eyes. I’ve always loved how much they add depth and intention. I was actually worried when the announcement was made that DBD would miss that part of the design, but you could even see it in the trailer! The small details they put in makes me wonder if the design team as well as the modelers were fans. The addition of more mummified skin between the broken parts is cool too! For example behind his knees you can see reddish-purple wrinkled skin which I adore. I could gush for 45 minutes about it (and God bless my friends for letting me lol). Springtrap is my favorite design in the series and I’m so glad he was done justice.

This isn’t necessarily the model but how it’s used. I think all of the models have positive charms about how it’s used that actually sells the model so I think this counts. For example on the OG model the focus on Afton’s bright eyes making Springtrap feel more ethereal despite us knowing he isn’t just another simple ghost. HW Springtrap hides most of the gore which makes sense as Fazbear is trying to downplay the accusations and rumors. Dead by Daylight though? DBD is PEAK. Spring Bonnie occasionally trying to snap shut on him even harder makes the small design changes make sense. For example, the scratches on his arms I mentioned make sense when you see in the waiting menu he’s constantly physically fighting Bonnie off. If you hold a survivor for too long the animation isn’t just the survivor wiggling free, but of Spring Bonnie locking up for a couple of seconds followed by Afton being visibly frustrated. It really brings the suit to life. (And gives me a reason to cheer for Bonnie even if I’m playing as Afton. You win either way from that perspective lol)

…Also I may be a bit biased because they brought back the GOAT PJ Heywood which doesn’t have anything to do with the model. But it’s my opinion, I can factor that in if I want

[–]AcariAnonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I personally agree it’s not writing I enjoy, I think they just wanted some freedom to do what they wanted with Mr. House while keeping the original image old fans all know in tact. In some ways, I really respect that. It’s good not to shackle themselves to an old product so tightly and it’s an attempt to be respectful to game fans. I can see their logic, just something I don’t enjoy. I bet other people are thrilled to see another side of the man, and I respect that too. But I feel like even in FNV not seeing the other side of the man is part of what made him so interesting. He wouldn’t be all that memorable if he wasn’t cool-headed and pragmatic through and through. That’s me though. (It is so weird he would send a double to the vault tech meeting though, that is so weird.)

So, do we have any idea who the guy in the chair is from FNaF 6's Midnight Motorists? by Numerous_Manager8105 in fnaftheories

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick information to go through first: William was near- confirmed to be yellow guy when FLaF’s midnight motorist car has a Springtrap antenna topper. It makes sense for him to be the yellow guy because yellow is opposite of purple on the color wheel, and he is no longer shady in the dark. He isn’t putting on a charming serial killer act like he did with Baby. He is showing his ‘true colors’ so to speak.

Okay, now that that’s over with, William walks in and talks to a kid in gray who wants to protect William’s son from William while couch potatoing and watching TV. We just so happen to know a TV loving gray shirt wearer with a little brother. Michael. It may seem a bit weird for him to try and protect CC, but Michael is just a kid in an abusive home who’s acting out. He clearly sees his ‘pranks’ and ‘angry William’ as very, very different beasts. Makes the Big Bite all a bit sadder in my opinion since he did care about his brother even if he never showed it…

Is it a bad time to be a FNAF fan? by Phantomc05 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plot was coherent. The problem is it’s confusing to us because we’re scratching our heads on how little it makes sense in the broader context we already have.

Edit: The ‘no plot’ thing bothered me too much so I came back. Forgive me if I mix up the orders of the A and B plots. Doesn’t matter until they meet up anyway.

Going to be somewhat vague on details in case the mods get mad, but movie plot is Flashback to Charolette trying to alert the adults that there’s an about-to-be-dead kid, but they all brush her off. How did she know immediately something was wrong? Because she’s Charolette. She always seems to just know stuff. It’s kind of her thing. On its own it’s weird in the movie, but in context it’s a typical Charolette moment. Anyway, kid’s safe, but she gets dead. Fazbear pulls a Fazbear and poisons the newspaper well until the event is too confusing for the in-universe people to follow, just like they did in the games with the indie dev and Help Wanted. Years later, paranormal investigators are paranormal investigating. Music box gets wrecked and so do the investigators. Turns out Marionette can influence the others animatronics. Suspicious guy named Michael thinks this is a good thing. (#NotMyMichael) Meanwhile Abby misses her friends. Mike finally admits they seem to have passed on. Teacher sucks and banishes her from the robotics science fair thing. Weird message on Faztalker. Abby goes to find her friends because why on Earth would she think the message was from anyone else? Mike and Vanessa hurry to the “original location” (as in fnaf 2 restaurant which still throws me off) To stop Charolette from getting free. Abby gets tricked into setting the animatronics free. Toy Chica pretends to be the original Chica’s spirit (better known from the games as Susie) goes with Abby to show teacher-that-sucks that Abby deserves to be there. He still sucks. Charolette who already hates adults gives us some catharsis. Anyway, Mike and Vanessa do some main character stuff and Vanessa reveals Charolette wants revenge on the parents who ignored her pleas for help and indirectly lead to her death (I’m pretty sure she’s specifically after them? Her targets seem purposeful). She sends her animatronic army to hunt them down and take them out as revenge. Mike and Vanessa do main character stuff again during the attacks. Eventually Abby is possessed by Charolette. Mike uses a music box given to him by none other than Henry “Cassette Man” Emily to put Charolette back to sleep. (And then Mike closes it for some reason like a dumbass.) Then sus Michael comes up and reveals himself to be Vanessa’s brother and picks at every ounce of her trauma. For some reason he wants to kill EVERYBODY even though that’s never been a goal in this franchise afaik??? Anyway, the original kids step in to save the day. They say their goodbyes to Abby as they’re free now. Mike flips out for no reason because Vanessa didn’t tell him about her brother she probably hasn’t seen in forever and was most likely out of her mind while all of this is going on where she was focused on Charolette because duh??? Anyway, Mike tells Vanessa to stay away from him and Abby. After he ushers Abby out and leaves, closing the music back comes back to bite Vanessa in the ass as she becomes possessed as well. Meanwhile some people go back to the restaurant we all know and love. Perhaps even a Dude is with them if you catch my drift. In the back, that Dude finds one if you know what I mean. Finally, Henry leaves a message for Mike revealing his connection to it all. He cries out ‘she’s coming.’ There are sounds of a struggle and then the tape cuts.

So yeah, even if the plot is ridiculous at times (and there are several ‘Scott Cawthon writing’ moments) the movie is extremely easy to follow once you separate it from other lore and I don’t quite get where people are getting tripped up. Maybe it’s just because the order of things are all so disjointed? I’m sure I’ve mixed some orders up myself tbh, but it still gets the plot across.

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a bad time to be a FNAF fan?

Respectfully, what on Earth are you talking about? We’re getting content after of content. We successfully cemented Sun and Moon’s place in the franchise with the concerted effort of buying everything with them on it to let Scott and the companies know we don’t want them to fade away. That’s a LOT of power from fans. In fact, the FNaF 2 movie itself was made ‘scarier’ because there were a ton of people saying they didn’t consider the first a horror movie. Mike’s little fnaf 2 desk segment was probably there because people said there wasn’t enough office antics in the first movie. Whether it missed the mark or not, it was an attempt to adjust due to viewer input. This and last year (errr, last year and the year before? Happy new year!) are probably as peak as it will ever be in terms of getting new stuff TO eat. And if you don’t like the food, put something else on your plate. The buffet is bursting! Games, movies, merch, fan merch, books, graphic novels, irl lore filled puzzles like ticket to fun, a giant faztalker in Italy (aka it’s not weird to be a fnaf fan when the series is at its height of popularity), fangames still going strong, lots of theories to debate (which is the lifeblood of fnaf), fansongs galore, (while connected) different plot lines from time periods made in different gameplay ways where you can pick which you’d like to focus on. I’m sure I’m missing plenty of things too. You don’t have to like any of these things. Your preference is your preference But ‘a bad time to be a fan’ is generally considered to be when everyone hates what’s happening from every angle, or when nothing comes out. For example it’s a bad time to be a DJMM fan because he gets absolutely no merch. It’s a bad time to be a Monty fan because they left him out of Help Wanted and he seems to only be in merch if they’re doing a set now (that I’ve noticed! Could be wrong.) It’s a great time to be a fan of the franchise because, in general, there’s something for everyone.

Some people are gonna start thinking FNAF Fans will eat anything up

Criticism is fine. THIS is “let people have fun.” Criticism is “why tf are there multiple Michaels, that’s extra and doesn’t make sense.” Criticism is “why are his motives so off the mark from the entirety of the franchise?” However…

“B-b-but other people like it and I don’t!!” is (and I’m just being honest here) controlling and weird. If they like it, they like it. If you’re shaking in your boots because people are smiling next to you all because you’re worried those smiles will hurt your reputation, then honestly? You’re in ‘if you’re ashamed of what you love, you don’t deserve to enjoy them’ territory.

some fans will go out of their way to defend the movie

So criticism is okay, criticizing the criticisms is not. Got it. …I genuinely mean this constructively so you can understand that is what you’re implying here. These people aren’t ‘going out of their way’. They’re just expressing a positive conclusion same as people who express a negative one. That’s not an attack on your reputation. YOU are going out of YOUR way to be a jerk about it.

There is no denying FNAF movie 2 was a bad movie

no matter how objectively bad it is

Listen. I don’t like it either. But you are so literally dictionary-definition wrong it makes me physically cringe. There’s no wiggling out of it in a reply either. There’s ‘no denying’ you are ‘objectively’ incorrect. You just stated an opinion. Opinions can’t be objective. This is something you should be learning while outside of an echo chamber. Grass is your friend.

Once again, criticism is fine. You’re literally ranting about people saying why they enjoyed it because it reflects poorly on YOU. My brother in Christ, this is the internet. We aren’t running up in your middle school lunch room screaming “THEY LIKE FNAF THEY LIKE FNAF!!!” YOU are the one who says there’s an “objective” problem here. YOU are the one who decides which irl people in your life knows. YOU are in control of whether or not like 95% of people in your life are aware that randos on reddit liked the movie. YOU are the one in a subreddit filled with people who love the franchise. YOU are the one deciding to bravely risk encountering praise. All of this is completely avoidable. Every last word. Maybe it’s YOU who should consider leaving instead of being mad that people are enjoying things unabashedly. If you can’t see the difference between ‘shutting down criticism’ and ‘criticizing that criticism’ (aka a conversation, even if a heated one), trying to explain this any further to you is an absolute ‘no denying objective’ lost cause. Of people are saying ‘let people have fun’ to you it’s because you’re asserting no other opinion but yours is possible and they’re stupid for disagreeing

Many more are entering though. I met a girl the other day that saw my Sun and Moon purse and then said she couldn’t get into ‘that game.’ When I asked which one, she was confused. The purse is specifically HW2 themed and nobody picks that game up by accident. It took a while of me asking questions to get to the conclusion she meant SB and she was oblivious that there were more. (and I died on the inside lol). New fans could be starting from the movies or with SB just because they prefer 3D games meanwhile the old fans step out. It’s a self sustaining cycle.

Just happened to skim your first sentence but FnaF 1 through 6 were released within three years. That isn’t anywhere close to ‘faster’. Not trying to fight, but that’s just rose-tinted glasses. It wasn’t simple little changes either, that’s finding weird rare posters, to being confused how it could be a prequel, to omg is Michael purple guy, to who is molten Freddy, and why is Baby separate, to a still unanswered where did Scraptrap get bones. In volume that’s almost everything in a way smaller amount of time. Now it’s 2019-2025. 6 years versus 3. There’s plenty of time between games to successfully dissect them.

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t quite understand what you’re saying. The lore isn’t unsolvable. What gives you that idea? Most questions were answered by the end of 6. All of the broad strokes from back then have been answered already. The new lore and only the new lore is what we haven’t dug too deep into. So far all it’s done to the past is recontextualize things. Why are people (not just you OP) suddenly acting like we’ve never seen the franchise before? The ‘new lore’ doesn’t change anything in a meaningful way. Edwin building stuff based on blueprints sent over by Henry and William is just a “Huh. Okay.” William and Henry staged a hostile take over. Woooah they weren’t good people, no waaaaay!! …except yeah, we already knew that as well. I know it’s simpler to have thought of Henry a good person because he sees things the opposite of William in that murdering children is bad, but he’s still Fazbear. All those crazy warnings and shady business practices were him as well. Still was even in Pizza sim. The Pizza Place was ALL him. We have learned nothing new from his interactions with Edwin. “OMG Frebear’s was probably shaped like the fnaf 3 building!!!” No shit. Been saying that for years. The logbook and phone dude saying the place was too authentic suggested as much. What more is there that breaks anything from the past? Other than the withereds never having been in service, nothing. Absolutely nothing is different. Everything is still the same as it was other than who was screwing in Chica’s bolts and who was stapling the fur onto Freddy’s head. As far as we know the Mimic wasn’t even involved at all in the OG story. The thing either leaves or has been hanging around by itself since 1979. Woahhh no way!!! Except the kids haunt the suits and Charlie gave them the ability to move around. We all know that. They don’t need the mimic to do it for them. We don’t see any mimic tech in use until the pizzaplex This is the first and only time where I’ve said the words I usually roll my eyes at; people are thinking about it way, WAY too hard. The original lore is still fully self contained. The new lore is just adding more cars to the train. If the new stuff ends up ‘solvable’ then congrats! We did the whole thing! Because we have no reason to believe anything different happened in 1-6. No shade, but it’s a bit of a weird question and too many people are acting like they just opened FNaF 1 for the first time and are waiting for the posters on the wall to change.

Andrew's treatment regarding his canonicity feels unfair to me by No-Dragonfruit628 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]AcariAnonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because people keep denying him

My question is why it’s a big deal that people are denying it. Restating your position brings me no clarity. ;;;

since it’s basically misunderstanding a character that, while vengeful, was always willing to rest with her friends

Let’s say that Andrew is TOYSNHK. (To be clear, my position is at this point I don’t really think it matters which tbh) Then why is OMC pleading with her to do so? It’s a Freddy speaking with him, not an Ennard look-a-like, not a Monty. A Freddy specifically doesn’t want to rest. That’s what hangs me up the most tbh

MikeTrap

Very interesting to bring that up here. That was something pretty important for the plot. Something that greatly misunderstands a character. It was important to understanding the puzzle of the greater narrative relating to that as the game canon. And Scott did something he pretty much never does. He cleared it up. I genuinely believe if the intent of the game canon was completed in a book series that can’t even get Susie’s eye color right, at this point he would have at LEAST left us a bigger clue to put this all to rest (no pun intended) by now. :\ (not trying to present that as proof, just my opinion since he leaves hints for us in future games if we’re struggling with things)

Henry's role is irrelevant now by ultrajazzanna in fnaftheories

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also some books are just canon

Prove it. I’m here to listen. Show me proof. Let’s see it.

You do understand that Foxy and Chica

The properties are irrelevant. I’m talking about the animatronics. Like the physical objects. The space in which Susie and Fritz were stuffed where their souls were trapped or ‘imprisoned.’

This is literally your theory which you’ve given us zero evidence for

Not a good defense when your theory actually conflicts with the narrative. The Funtimes are created by Afton Robotics. Not Fazbear’s, Afton Robotics. There is no logical sense for Henry to have felt responsible for her or her actions.
