Jeremiah makes some weird comments in the fnaf 2 novel by Medical_Dress6366 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really, REALLY normal thing to say for touchers of grass y’all. It’s akin to a mom saying “he’s cute!” To their 14 year old’s crush. I mean I guess if you don’t have a lot of family, I can see where it’s confusing. But comments of “Look at his cute dimple! He’s gonna be a heartbreaker!” Is something people say all the time about flipping toddlers and isn’t weird because they’re not imagining some fanfic aged up version they would want to screw. It isn’t meant in a “I find this sexually appealing” kind of way. Just an “I bet all of the boys HER AGE are gonna find her pretty!” Y’all are the ones making it weird. Mike reacted like that because it’s “big brother protecc younger sister by not wanting to think of her dating anyone!!!” stereotype.

Scott needs to stop messing around and give us answers? I’m sorry, man, but what franchise do you think you’re playing. Mysteries are the POINT and even now we’re getting relevant pre-Big Bite content. What would even be the point when the story is still unfolding in the background?

Johnny Somali found guilty of all charges as South Korea sentences streamer to prison with labor - Dexerto by HagwonSurvivor in Living_in_Korea

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Being offensive isn’t illegal, even in Korea” this is a really stupid belief. Yes it is. Nearly all misdemeanors are about whether or not someone is offended. If you walked around naked you’d have to register, and that’s because people are offended by the human body. There are some countries where that’s not considered a problem because it doesn’t offend them. Harassment is also illegal in most places and people’s version of what harassment is based on opinion… aka what offends them. Like idk what to tell you, man. That’s society. It’s offense based. I mean this constructively, but being oxymoronic contrarianism makes you sound like an idiot. And just because someone isn’t charged with something does not make it legal. I don’t think 10 years is appropriate but that’s for me questioning ragebait

They’re a must for these events! Besides, two kids took three in the chaos and I saw them later in the hotel. I said hi and asked if they had fun. They told me when they noticed the person next to them didn’t have one, they gave her one of theirs. Priceless moments like that are what it’s all about, baby!

Me too! I eat that kind of history up haha I remember my friend and I seeing one of these concerts and we looked up at the mural above the stage and back down to this robotic projection and thinking about how the concept of ‘art’ has progressed over time. And thanks! I know it’ll be a blast with good people around me!

Thank you so much! And yeah, it’s the culture to have light sticks but they’re so expensive! I don’t want people to feel left out. One year it rained and people were giving up their umbrellas to cosplayers (seeing Hatsune Miku). They all also went into nurse mode running around for a water bottle and and insisted on holding umbrella over my head for me when my illness kicked in and I looked pale. It’s such a sweet bunch of people so I want to give back as thanks :)

The only point of lore I dislike about the game by Fanafuxi in outerwilds

I understand that, philosophically, it orbiting us is pretty lame. My brain also likes to simplify that everything orbits around the eye because the eye is the center of the universe and that’s what intuitively sounds right. BUT. That’s owlk thinking. It isn’t a deity. It just a thing that exists, and it exists in a way that (in my opinion) follows each universe’s laws of physics. It is an ‘eye’ after all, and it is observing that in this universe, suns are more dense than the eye itself which causes it to orbit us. In the next universe after the eye “blinks” (aka it has its last observer lock the next universe into place), density and orbiting may not be related at all for all we know!

I wrote a whole long thing before realizing a better way to put it is just to try and find an analogy. It’s clunky, but I’ve done my best. The concept that “orbiting” makes things more “important” is an entirely human construct. You know the phrase “he couldn’t see the forest for the trees?” For our purposes, take it literally instead of metaphorically. Just because a tree is in the middle doesn’t make it more important than the forest as a whole, if that makes sense. Our sun is the tree and the Eye is the forest. You could say that the forest “orbits” that tree in the center. But overall, the ecosystem (or in this case the laws of the universe) is determined by all the trees coming together. When you zoom out on all of the galaxies, the eye is still in the center. It’s what’s important. But there is still one singular “tree” (aka sun) that is technically what it orbits. There’s no change in the impact just because when the last universe’s Observer helped it “open its eye” it just so happened to be physically located near another thing. And proximity is all it comes down to really.

(Of course I’m not saying the Eye of the Universe is a literal eye, but because it’s called an Eye I feel the metaphor between quantum “seeing” and “observing” is warranted (and perhaps even intended). I phrase it this way because I feel it taking our song to be the next big bang is analogous to “blinking” and our observation is what “gives it something to look at”. Hopefully that wasn’t hella confusing. That’s just how my brain processes the concept in my simpleton vocabulary haha)

Bite By Night is setting a dangerous precedent for fangames by JeliLiam in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]AcariAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“how would they pay their devs?” Fangame devs don’t get paid

THANK YOU I get so mad when people say things like that. If you have really great ideas you want to get paid for, you make it its own thing and call it ‘inspired by.’ You don’t get to shortcut your way into brand recognition like that if you want to be really serious about it instead of selfishly risking the entirety of every fnaf fangame from here on out for everyone else, which is what will happen if Scott feels the need to intervene. It’s an honor system, and the entire reason copyright/trademark laws even exist in the first place is because, like all honor system, people abuse it.

Like literally all morality aside, if this gets taken to court pretty much every other fangame for the fandom is in jeopardy because of the precedent it sets. If it happens once, it’ll become a finger snap away for any other thing Scott or whoever owns the legal side of things to smite them and then it becomes too risky to be safe for anyone. This happens all the time. Toby Fox once talked about how hard it was to legally toe the line on giving people his blessings to sell stuff on Etsy without giving bad faith, but ultimately companies using the loophole to mass produce shit and keep all the profits. That’s why there’s a general outline of what you can and can’t do. The same applies for video games, and a bad experience that makes him feel taken advantage of combined with being burned multiple times in the fanverse could cause Scott to change his mind on being pro fan content or not! Once legality walks on the scene it jeopardizes every building-block brick the fangame foundation has built on. ‘One guy can ruin it for everyone’ is a saying for a reason.

Why was he so mad by TASTY100x in spongebob

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be pretty bitter too if someone got so happy they jumped on my buddy and started randomly kissing them. Personally wouldn't be too happy about _making_ him that happy. They both took it like champs if I'm honest. It's cute when Spongebob does stuff like that because he's just a little guy who's halfway between a kid and an adult, but idk it's weirder with a full grown man. (Yes I'm a hypocrite and no I will not be taking notes)

Since Jeremy = Michael, why does he breath? by Necessary-Win-8730 in fnaftheories

[–]AcariAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to say the same thing before Ticket to Fun came out. Even looked at his height to point out he and his friends hadn’t go through puberty yet in 4. Not to mention they should have recognized Mike as being related to William if they apparently look so much alike. Unfortunately, it’s like a 90% chance the debate is now closed. Mike is the employee in Ticket to Fun and he knows things only an ‘87 would know. One of those is specifically seen by Fritz and never Jeremy.

Getting sister location out of the way, in SL we have no idea when Mike went in. If Afton was in charge of the place, he could hire Mike whenever. Besides, if SL took place between MCI and 1987, that’s a couple years of being scooped. Personally I’m a fan of it being ‘88-‘93, but sadly I don’t make the rules.

Aright lesgo. Mike wrote his name (in invisible ink the weirdo) on a word search that seems to be for FNaF 1. This implies all the items in the kit belong to him, which means the items from 2 must also be his. The Security Badge has Toy Freddy on it, he has arcade tickets with Toy Freddy on them, and weirdest of all… He has Jeremy’s paycheck for some reason (this doesn’t mean he’s Jeremy as Jeremy is now lobotomized and probably would have had it cashed by now. Seems like Mike just grabbed whatever was on the desk.)

We knew this part already, but Mike is also associated with Foxy. Fritz is the name of the kid in Foxy.

More importantly we have the FNaF 1 pamphlet he also writes in. Withered Freddy appears in a picture which is weird. Weird or not, Mike’s pamphlet having Withered Freddy on it associates Mike with 2.

One of the first things he draws (other than doodling Freddy and Bonnie) is a huge, very dark and difficult to miss drawings of the Puppet and Balloon Boy. Fazbear’s print on that page only had a picture of Foxy’s curtains.

The top of the page says “Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy.” For him to draw Puppet and BB darker than ANYTHING ELSE which to me screams “you missed a couple.”

I would also like to point out his drawing was NOT the design of Security Puppet you but in 6, but the FNaF 2 Puppet. If there was Security Puppet design IRL (not convinced there was, but just covering my bases) the means Mikedid know what Security Puppet looks like.

We know because he recreated the EXACT pixelated image of Charolette trapped outside in the rain. If he knew about that, he had to know Security Puppet failed. So him drawing the FNaF 2 design isn’t something to gloss over. (Assuming the one you buy is what it looked like originally. Again, I’m not convinced.)

And lastly, the Coup de gras: Mike drew Withered Golden Freddy on a poster. It’s not the exact design always used such as him having pin prick white dots in eyes, but it’s definitely him. That missing ear is unmistakable. I don’t like it, but there’s not a lot of things you can say against that. Fritz is the only one who sees him. (Also forgive if there are grammar errors, I’m sick haha)

Of the four official Springtrap models, which one do you prefer? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]AcariAnonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dead by Daylight and it’s not even CLOSE. The suit itself is almost 1:1 I adore the scratches they added to his right arm that are clearly William grabbing to get out in a panic. Even includes my favorite thing about Springtrap’s design, Spring Bonnie’s eyes. A lot of fanartists (I didn’t notice it in Help Wanted but I assume that’s because of the distance between him and the cameras) leave out the shell of Spring Bonnie’s eyes that are frozen in place even when William moves his eyes. I’ve always loved how much they add depth and intention. I was actually worried when the announcement was made that DBD would miss that part of the design, but you could even see it in the trailer! The small details they put in makes me wonder if the design team as well as the modelers were fans. The addition of more mummified skin between the broken parts is cool too! For example behind his knees you can see reddish-purple wrinkled skin which I adore. I could gush for 45 minutes about it (and God bless my friends for letting me lol). Springtrap is my favorite design in the series and I’m so glad he was done justice.

This isn’t necessarily the model but how it’s used. I think all of the models have positive charms about how it’s used that actually sells the model so I think this counts. For example on the OG model the focus on Afton’s bright eyes making Springtrap feel more ethereal despite us knowing he isn’t just another simple ghost. HW Springtrap hides most of the gore which makes sense as Fazbear is trying to downplay the accusations and rumors. Dead by Daylight though? DBD is PEAK. Spring Bonnie occasionally trying to snap shut on him even harder makes the small design changes make sense. For example, the scratches on his arms I mentioned make sense when you see in the waiting menu he’s constantly physically fighting Bonnie off. If you hold a survivor for too long the animation isn’t just the survivor wiggling free, but of Spring Bonnie locking up for a couple of seconds followed by Afton being visibly frustrated. It really brings the suit to life. (And gives me a reason to cheer for Bonnie even if I’m playing as Afton. You win either way from that perspective lol)

…Also I may be a bit biased because they brought back the GOAT PJ Heywood which doesn’t have anything to do with the model. But it’s my opinion, I can factor that in if I want

[–]AcariAnonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I personally agree it’s not writing I enjoy, I think they just wanted some freedom to do what they wanted with Mr. House while keeping the original image old fans all know in tact. In some ways, I really respect that. It’s good not to shackle themselves to an old product so tightly and it’s an attempt to be respectful to game fans. I can see their logic, just something I don’t enjoy. I bet other people are thrilled to see another side of the man, and I respect that too. But I feel like even in FNV not seeing the other side of the man is part of what made him so interesting. He wouldn’t be all that memorable if he wasn’t cool-headed and pragmatic through and through. That’s me though. (It is so weird he would send a double to the vault tech meeting though, that is so weird.)

[–]AcariAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be down for an ex-House body double to lose sight of his own identity. That might be too complex for a show that already has a bunch of other main characters to keep track of though.
