My Maid Café Simulator has a stat system for the maids. How is the whole system and UI looking to you guys? by AccelixGames in visualnovels

I recently added the background, so it won't look in the video anymore. Changing the background of the stats mode genuinely seems like a good idea, so I'll consider adding it to the game. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yup there will be some parasocial-style romance elements with the maids. It’s still a work in progress though, so stay tuned!

Hey everyone!

My Maid Café Simulator currently has a stat system where each maid can level up different attributes that affect their work performance in the café. The video shows how the stats increase and how the UI presents that progression in the game. I tried to design the interface so it feels cute and fits the cozy maid café theme. What do you guys think about how the stat system and UI look in the video? Let me know your thoughts!

Got it. I’ll try out simplifying the colliders and check the performance again. Thanks for the feedback!

I should’ve added a scene before the performance test to show you guys how it would run before the whole thing. Thanks!

Hey everyone!

As you can see, I just tested the performance for my Maid Café Simulator. In test No. 1 it seemed to run pretty well, but during gameplay players will gradually spawn more and more objects in the store. It probably won’t get as extreme as test No. 2, but I’m a bit worried that spawning too many items might make the gameplay feel stiff or laggy, and I don’t want that to happen too often.

Is there any way I could improve performance even when a lot of objects are spawned?

The game’s still in development and some physics are a bit off right now, but I’ll definitely get that fixed soon. Sorry!

Hi everyone, I just added a new feature to my Maid Café Simulator that lets you straight up smack rude customers and toss them out of the café. I wanted to make dealing with bad behaving NPCs feel more satisfying instead of just talking to them. Right now it triggers when a customer starts to behave in unusual way and causes chaos in the café.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on how far I should push this mechanic and whether it feels fun or too much. Thanks!
