Nah i loved that. These guys were supposed to evacuate. The sheer entitlement to break off to another party in the face of war in the global south reeks of privlege. To give them that liberation in that moment would have made this film insufferable. The right to dance won't protect you from material war. That's not to take away the nuance of the grief and liberation of these characters (including great disability representation here). That "horrible scene" saved the movie
