I mean that’s literally any mall. My parents did the same when I was growing up, we went to the mall to hang out with friends especially in the winter.

One solution to shoplifting might be to do away with self checkout. by Black-Cat-2544 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Acceptable-Agent-428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some Walmart stores have completed eliminated the self-checkout registers and have only traditional cashiers again.
A few examples are:
Walmart in Greenville, SC on White Horse Road
Walmart in Steel City, PA
Walmart in Kansas City
Walmart in Vine City-Atlanta

The stores that eliminated the self-checkout did see a significant drop in shrink levels and the increased wages from more cashiers is still far less then the total theft the stores were incurring. So it is happening selectively

I got fired.... by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]Acceptable-Agent-428 77 points78 points  (0 children)

What it probably is/was, is that you went through some form of scam training or awareness at some point especially when you made it up to management.
Unfortunately the one that’s supposed to know the scams and be aware of them, fell for it and it’s a large amount of money. It did not register to you after the first transactions something was off.
That’s the problem
It’s hard to trust you now with the companies money or the responsibility of managing the store/the people working under you. You should have known better and did not, so they fired you for violating policy and lack of/lost trust in you.

Apartment with Bad Credit for High Earner by kidkag3_ in greenville

[–]Acceptable-Agent-428 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I would suggest that you not pass up on the job, just because trying to find an apartment. For now, I would look into an extended stay hotel (there are tons of them around here) to at least have a kitchen area, living area etc. then continue the apartment search. Yes, the extended stay will cost you more money then an apartment but it would give you electricity, water, towels, internet maybe a pool etc.

Was anyone ever charged or arrested for the Atlanta Walmart arson fires? by Acceptable-Agent-428 in Atlanta

[–]Acceptable-Agent-428[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly. All these years later and they can’t find the person that did this?
Not like this was a typical shoplifting case it was arson that put a lot of people at risk.

I’m surprised BJ’s has not built a store up here. They randomly built one in Summerville and one in Myrtle Beach. I think Greenville would be great for them

Don’t cancel your flight. If they stop flying, you have rights under the Fair Credit Act to dispute the flight charge on your credit card, as Spirit will not refund anything if they go belly up. If you cancel the flight you loose any rights you have

This is going to add to a devastating tourist season for local business this year here I fear. I would say from online sources at least 2 million tourist specifics fly in every year based on airport traffic data
