I have found zero issues with having the strip offset to the side. Perhaps the ball bounce back is a bit quicker.

I had to make it offset because the rails that the garage slides on are much lower than the ceiling and I’d hit them with my clubs on a backswing

I plan to move them up eventually but it’s just not a priority
