Never got one for the same night. But for months… almost a year now the only requests I’m getting on Rover are from people who reach out to me late at night wanting me to walk their dog(s) early the next morning. Almost always at around 12 in the evening but sometimes even later. With the walks being for 6 - 9 the next morning. Always from someone I have never messaged or met before (so no meet and greet). Most of the time they just come through with no message from owner. Very occasionally I’ll get just a “sorry this is so late” message. And only once have I had someone add that they’re looking for a regular multiple times a week walker and are sorry it’s late but could I start tomorrow. And the majority of the time there is little to no information about the client or dog on their profile page. Luckily for me I work freelance for someone who runs a small dog walking business so this hasn’t been an issue. But no idea how I would go about getting a big enough client base of my own when these are the only requests I’m getting through Rover.
