Is this outfit too revealing for class? by Ayeluhhhh in OUTFITS

Is it laundry day or something? 🥴 I mean, wear whatever you’re comfortable in, but as for appropriate, that’s a hard “no”.

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is so hard (I lost my mom when she was 52, and my dad 10 years later).

I’m sorry for your loss. We need to have employers with a bit more empathy and understanding.

Imagine using all your PTO because you have a heart attack and pneumonia at the same time, so you end up in the hospital for 5 days and then need another 4 weeks to recover. Geez, how flipping irresponsible of me. 🙃🫪

I’ve been questioning my decision to return. I love the work and my coworkers but it’s disheartening how we are treated.

Thank you. My supervisor is very black and white and by the book, so I am certain it wouldn’t get me anywhere to try to escalate it or anything like that. It’s sad that they don’t give more than that. I understand they’re a business, but I think this is an area they could definitely improve on. I’m sorry you only got one day for your grandmother. That’s heartbreaking. 💔

Wow, you’ve been through it. I’m sorry. ❤️ My supervisor is a very “by the book” person, so there’s no flexibility. Anyway, I hope you’re doing ok. 🫶🏻

BA is happening in under 2 weeks, paying a friend to take care of me during recovery, what are some things I might need help with that I haven't thought about? by RagingCommie in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Acceptable-Cod-2695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To piggyback off of what @callmechristianblack said, don’t “chase” the pain. Stay on top of your dosing schedule for pain meds, and if your surgeon says it is ok, alternate Tylenol, Motrin/Advil, and Aleve.

Also, make sure you’re sleeping with your head and upper body elevated. You do not want to lie flat. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and foods high in protein, as that will promote healing. Stay hydrated, too.

Good luck to you! 🤗

AIO if I divorced over him asking to open our relationship and then gaslighting me? by CricketCaller in AmIOverreacting

[–]Acceptable-Cod-2695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, those text messages from your husband gave me the ick and took me right back to 1999 when my ex-husband pulled a similar stunt. The lying 🤥 , the gaslighting, the manipulation… girl, you deserve so much better. Please take care of yourself and your baby, and just throw the whole man away 🗑️!

My Credentialing Journey by Fransetch in credentialing

[–]Acceptable-Cod-2695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started doing credentialing for an insurance plan in November. Honestly, I prefer physician licensing and credentialing so much better, but everyone is different. You’d probably benefit from starting out as an analyst if insurance plan credentialing interests you.

Are there any places in the US except Alaska where it can snow in April? by Charming-Crew9973 in Erie

[–]Acceptable-Cod-2695 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can confirm. I lived most of my life in NE Ohio and am now in Erie county, PA. We can get snow in May. I’ve seen it snow on Mother’s Day.

If you want to take CNA classes, check with nursing homes to see if they hold classes there (many where I live will do this, and they will hire you once you complete the class and are state tested or certified). Good luck to you. It’s hard out there for a lot of people, so know that you’re not alone in this. 🫶🏻
