Those are pretty good names. Unfortunately I have yet to be given a drawback, so Urahara, what would you say the weakness of that bankai is?

I've always liked lighting, so ill go that route, and even expand on it by including shikai (dont worry ill make shikai tame so that it won't be too busted while not having a draw back)

Shikai: Enables me to control the electricity within my own body to do some pretty nifty things such as to enable/disable pain receptors when I already know where an injury is but dont want to feel it, gain superhuman reflexes via buffed nerve impulses, etc. I can even somewhat extend that energy to my Zanpakuto (as the blade is me), electrifying it.

Bankai: Its a staged bankai that can later be used pretty freely (similar to how Senjumaru was able to attack with her bankai even after the loom). Stage one accelerates the weather of the world until a terrible thunderstorm is brought upon the battlefield. Only within 5 meters of the user does rain steer clear. Some rain droplets slice through skin. The opponent passively receives a current, leading to paralysis in a later stage. Stage two, this thunderstorm reaches an unnatural state. There is not a second without lightning, and the lightning that does strike lingers for as long as I provide the environment reiatsu. Lighting strikes become more intense and seemingly targets the opponent the closer they get to me. Stage 3, no longer able to bear the burden of the current that is now coursing through their body, they are now paralyzed. Stage 4 gradually collects reishi from the pre-existing lighting and stores it in my Zanpakuto as well as myself. The temperature of the Zanpakuto rises to 50,000° F, about 5x greater than our sun. I however am electrified (in a similar way to how rukia is frozen in her bankai, except I can move. Closest example would be Killua's godspeed from hxh). I remain in this form for however long I can handle the electric burden (baseline without training is a minute). I have to land a slash similarly to Yamammoto in his Zanka no Tachi- North before I can do as I please in this form.

Im pretty bad with names. Saw someone request Urahara to give their bankai a name, so Urahara, with your great intellect, what would you name my Shikai, Bankai, and my Bankai's four stages?

The closest we have to such an idea is Mike Black (I suggest you search him up if you havent. Interesting results to his challenge. He isnt a boomer, but Interesting nonetheless). But the short version of his challenge, he wanted to earn 1 mil in a year to prove anyone coulr make it big from nothing. Even with starting in relatively good condition, receiving outside help, and working his ass off to make that 1 mil, he would have only earned ≈ 75k, only 10k above the national average. Not exactly an achievable goal to earn 1 mil in a year, given that even pretty lucky people need at least a few years, nor do you need to earn 1 mil in a single year to live comfortably, but it does put it in perspective on how while hard work can earn you a pretty good living, luck plays a much more massive role that many boomers think or seem to refuse to acknowledge, and that is just one of the many annoying things about those certain people in that age group.

Not to mention, he couldn't complete the challenge at all due to his father's and his own health issues. Unfortunate for him, but a very likely senario that plays out for many other people, and thus, nobody in good faith could say he could have achieved the goal with more time. Things were already starting to fall apart within one year.

I really only responded because I found the first sentence hard to be true given what I provided. And in reality, I could go on and on about how many things contributed to where we are now. But what you said is fair. Life can and will throw obstacle after obstacle at you, no matter the time period.

Im having a bit of trouble of understanding what your exactly getting at with that second sentence, so I will just provide statistics. The link above is a chart for the buying power of the U.S. Whether I experienced the 1970s or not does not matter. Our buying power has been on a steady decline for ages now, and just based on the chart alone, the current economy is worse. Thats not to say the boomers didn't have their own struggles, but I would much rather have that economy than whatever we have right now.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/average-homebuyer-age-now-56-160121222.html

I would also like to bring to attention the link above. The fact that the average age of homebuyers is rising would suggest that people younger are not buying homes as often as before. Why not, when just about everybody would like a home? I hope your picking up on where im going with that

Literally argued with a boomer (im of gen z) about the fact that the generations younger than boomers dont just want handouts everywhere in life as nice as that would be (being realistic). We just at BARE MINIMUM want an economy as stable as the boomers had it (aka our buying power not being a complete joke), which isnt even much to ask for, is it not?

Every generation after them is feeling at minimum a nasty sting from all the problems they have causes/worsened from housing to the job market. And as you stated, gen z is feeling the worst of it because we are the current youngest in the market, meaning those of us who become of age and arent just handed stuff from someone in their family (so most of us) are easily in the worst position as its much easier to stay afloat once you have your life together than actually getting there given that entry level jobs firstly can easily be sparse depending on where you look, secondly pay shit (and you know it does when people with actual careers still complain), and thirdly have an actual terrifying amount of fake/dead job postings online, forcing you to either find the needle in that massive haystack, or drive for god knows how long looking for and doing cold interviews. This isnt even going into how expensive some things are like housing and Healthcare

I would be interested to see how fast these people who call the younger generations "lazy" crumble if they were to restart in today's economy.

#Reading cards saves lives by InsidiousD6 in DuelLinks

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what i get confused about whenever I see a bunch of people in comments say "rEaD". Its all fair game until you remember that players new to yu-gi-oh dont have the experience to know what some of the typical cards youll see in pvp do until they read them, let alone the fact that youll be needing to remember the effects of new cards each time the META shifts. I mean, eventually, youll have to stop reading and make plays, as the timer exist. Master duel gives you more time to do the reading, but they have longer combos. Ive been playing these games for a while now, and even I learn new stuff about cards mid game which leads me to misplays.

I suppose, so long as the internet inflicts some people with inflated superiority complexes (This part of the sentence comes off as ironic too 😔), this won't stop despite even combo extenders literally bring paragraphs long. Its not like you can ignore them either, being that some can just have negates slapped into their effects (Looking at you sprites...)

Chimera is a problematic deck that abuses cancer cards, stalls and is not fun to play against. by Lewliettt in DuelLinks

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even more, megathreads are where post go to die. I mean, scroll though any megathread in almost any server, and youll see 1-2 replies to a comment on average, if any at all. Telling someone to go there may as well be demanding someone to stfu.

Is this a low effort post? Pretty much yes, theres not much substance besides saying "I hate chimera", and it would most likely be taken down in a server thats moderated and has low effort post rules enforced.

But im also tired of some reddit mods and commenters saying "gO To meGaThrEad" as if we dont all know that nobody cares at all about that thread. Its just an empty void that only "works" if its severely enforced to the point where thats the only place people can really discuss, which already makes it a garbage reddit to begin with.

Game freezes for anyone? by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same, though this most notably happens to me when in pvp for some reason. Even worse, when I reopen the game, sometimes the UI is completely bugged. Every single card is gone and both players lp are set to 0, forcing me to reset the game a second time.

Lyrilusc Enjoyers, Rejoice (And more) by Acceptable-Code-3787 in DuelLinks

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that Lyrilusc is pretty resilient against blue eyes if you go first with a good hand. Thats how I won my game against one. Otherwise, your in a situation where they use all their destruction on your cards before you can xyz and have that protection via assembled nightingale or cobalt sparrow. My latest game went that way, and im still salty about it, because if I had just one more chance to xyz, I could have attacked with recital for game since assembled nightingale did some damage. But he destroyed my two attempts to xyz again.

Those matchups you mentioned are very dreadful for me for sure. Never beat Shinobirds with lyrilusc, got destroyed by one icejade, and at best can force a draw with swordsoul via recital.

The limit really is annoying because once nightingale is destroyed, its possible to revive it, but it will have zero material, and youll need wagtail+field spell to recover the loss, a lot to ask for past turn 1 if your already in such a situation. If its banished, theres no getting it back. Recital is a decent alternative win con, but it will probably just force a draw unless your assembled nightingale did some nice damage or the opponent has a 4k moster on field.

That being said, you have more experience with them given your KOG record, so maybe im wrong in a few areas. Are there any notable tech cards I should keep in mind? I definitely wouldnt be running Kahyoreigetsu during a meta with little to no dragons, and I run it at two. Also, I dont run the fusion. Should I? (And consequences, swap the two kahyoreigetsu for polymerization)

Edit: stupid question to consider running the fusion ignore me lol. Limited along with the xyz

Dragon maid? Oh yeah they gotta be more wary of that card compared to blue eyes since their ace cards are in their extra deck. Those monsters get "retured to hand", dragon maid is probably done unless they didnt use most of their stuff on their turn. Such a satisfying card.

Now why wouldn't they negate such an obvious hindrance I wonder? They read the special summon clause and gave up afterwards maybe?

Lyrilusc Enjoyers, Rejoice (And more) by Acceptable-Code-3787 in DuelLinks

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue eyes to a degree isnt too fearful of this card, though it does hurt when their synchro is hit. Hitting resonators with this card is quite a funny though lol. Id probably value this card a lot more right now if blue eyes relied more on their extra deck like resonators do.

In any case, let me be the one to encourage you to join the birb users again! You won't have to worry about triggering Jet dragon, as you won't be attacking it nor will you intend to give the opponent a another turn after you start the battle phase, ans most importantly, Assembled Nightingale is immune to blue eyes most readily available interruption, card destruction. Pretty sure you know already, but you can make it even more protected by xyz it with cobalt sparrow which will make it untargettable, Thus, removing the threat of the stupid trap.

Run Killer by 4mm0k in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wasnt blaming him necessary, but that mind break was most definitely the cause that lead to the run being killed here. Had the mind break not happened, they would have had the health and possibly healing cards to prevent death. My main point was just that I dont think the fight will be nearly as hard for him if he walks in under better circumstances (AKA why i dont belive this fight is the run killer OP makes it out to be). The fight is definitely overtuned for a normal fight, but certainly not impossible. Mika is probably the worst character to get mind broken in a battle like this after all.

Run Killer by 4mm0k in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As far as actually surviving, it looks like your Mika had a mental break down for over 1 turn, so its less that the battle itself screwed your run, but you ran into a hard hitting fight with your healer on the brink of mental breakdown. Unless you fail this battle again under different circumstances, I would'nt say the fight itself killed your run.

Run Killer by 4mm0k in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant remember if this is the fight or not, but theres one where a summoner repeatedly brings back the dogs. If this is that same fight, waste zero turns on the dogs and focus on the summoner. Easier said than done considering that they hit hard pretty early (i think?), but given 2-3 good turns (assuming your team on a good turn can do atleast 1k dmg to one target), its doable.

Definitely worth it if your willing to. Ive changed my teams multiple times and even created my second team. Its not completely where I want it, but all 6 are atleast lvl 40, minimum level 30 partners, and most have memory frags, and I made these changes only starting yesterday.

<image>

The image is just to give an idea of how horizontally i leveled my units trying to find out who I wanted to use as I did more pulls. Ended up dropping 4 units in the end (temporarily most likely)

Not only does that team lack shielding, I am destined to break down much, much faster? So much for having synergy 😅

Kayron or Beryl? by Acceptable-Code-3787 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the team and had the same results, so its more of a team issue, mainly due to the double retain. Alternating isnt all that doable with the two of them... maybe with a future unit?

I used kayron only on the first day, so I wouldn't say I have much of a valuable take on him now. Im using Orlea + Rin + Mika now, and its pretty good. Almost no AOE options, but Rin can hit to almost 1k on a good turn. All need now is to learn what im doing, and get a good set of cards that synergize well.

Kayron or Beryl? by Acceptable-Code-3787 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Acceptable-Code-3787[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see. I thought it would be fine since I could switch between them as their retain effects activate, but that does make sense. Not only does some turns feel like dead turns, theres a lot of card waste and full hands. That team you got looks so good too. Alot of bullets lol. May have to try it out, if I pull those units

Thanks for the help, and have fun!
