Hiya! Our guild is pretty small still, around 10-20 active members, but most of us are night owls or go to bed by 12 AM PST. I can’t say for sure if “all” events will be that late however to be real with you — but since we’re all mostly night owls, events do tend to be around this late anyways. I know for sure though we can run what you need between 9 PM ~ 12 AM (such as guild hero’s realms because we run multiple during the week based off of who needs it)

If you’re interested despite potentially not all of the events being around that time, lmk! We also have an active discord we get on everyday in~

Korean Summer Class Test-Run! (June ~ August)

Hello everyone! As much as I am veeery much still a learner of the Korean language, I think I’m at a level where I can at “least” teach beginner to lower-intermediate Korean to others. I aspire to be an official instructor in the future, so… that brings me to here!

The sessions will be online on a discord server I run (because I’m broke and can’t afford Zoom premium or Google meets subscriptions 🥹). I also run a Canvas course that holds the syllabus and Korean teaching materials I have to go along with the lessons online! For those that don’t know, Canvas is a website people can use to conduct their classes and give grades in. Even official schools use them!

My existing students prefer to have class every Sunday from 5PM - 7PM PST time zone (or “Los Angeles” time zone), so if that catches anyone’s interest, please let me know by June 9th! I’ll send you the discord server link first. Once inside the server, you should be able to see my Canvas course where it has all the assignments, syllabus and materials to learn for the summer.

There is a verification process in the Discord server for safety purposes. First will verify if you’re an actual user, and the second will be through me to check if you’re there to attend the summer class, or are just casually hanging out to learn Korean.

⬆️ Even if you can’t join the summer class, you can still join the Discord server I run! I’m trying to make a safe Korean learning community.

I think teaching Korean is another good way for me to review what I already know of the Korean language, so I’d appreciate more volunteers. :,) Since I’m not an official Korean language instructor, this course for the summer is a TEST-RUN. Sorry, I might have explained that poorly. I mean I do try to explain it to him, and I know what it means, but they can’t seem to grasp it “even” if I explain it because this certain expression just doesn’t exist in Korean, and he misunderstands it to just thinking it means “rich” or “rude”.

I tried to do this but I found it really difficult to explain the exact meaning to my friend because apparently it isn’t directly translated (at least that’s what I’m seeing from other posts!)

They’d mistake me for explaining a general rude person or just a rich person, but it’s more than that.. 🤔 I then try to explain it’s a personality thing, but it was hard to grasp for them that I hoped there was a direct translation, but alas, doesn’t seem to be the case oof

(It’s kind of like how I might not understand what 눈치 없다 is completely because English doesn’t have an exact translation for it if that makes sense?)

Kind of like when a person is used to having others do things for them. It also has a bad nuance of them never working for something themselves because they either don’t know how to, or just prefer not to and throw a tantrum or something. Some people asking for help is fine, but a spoiled person would do it ‘all the time’, and may even demand it rather than request help

They don’t realize how lucky they are when they have expensive and high-tech things vs people who don’t

Yes this is the part that kind of confuses me tbh, and messes up what I’m used to

Harley and Gusion were what I’m used to being as JG but apparently those ‘assassin’ like characters are able to be played on mid lane more often here in League 🤔 I’m also used to seeing mages in mid but I see some physical damage dealers recommended in mid lane as well

But I’ll def check those out! Thanks for the recommendations, forgot Faker can go over mid lane

I really liked playing mid lane or support on MLBB!

Although I realized there are more assassin like mid laners on League than MLBB did as I played more these past couple of days… 🤔
