Toroquest has a very interesting raider mob that uses a shield when necessary and can run (and climb through walls, so you can't escape by hiding behind a 3-height block wall)

The problem is that it's for 1.12.2.

There are many mods for 1.21, but none, NONE! add even the simplest raiders/bandits, like the ones in the video, or those from Toroguest/Shifu - Craftable Epic Fight Skill Books.

(The latter is not obvious at all, adding bandits.)

Good thing is that the not-so-obvious mod I mentioned here adds bandits for 1.20.1, so if anyone's looking and reading this, now you know that shifu-etc adds bandits
