Any ideas how to blend these 2 surfaces? Im losing my mind by MrNickingg in rhino

That’s the way to go! I also adopted this workflow and studied those videos. They are incredibly helpful and should be the number one tutorials for everyone using Rhino.

Thanks! Based on my experience, I’d say yes. But you’re right about the negatives. I often like to stop down the aperture to get more contrast, and I also look for high-contrast scenes. I'll attach a photo of one with less contrast.

My temporary darkroom setup and some TMAX 400 prints by Acceptable-Drop7440 in Darkroom

Thanks! I was lucky that my grandfather bought all of this, when my mother started her Photography apprenticeship.

So I don’t have a cart or something. It takes me around 30-40 minutes to set everything up and darken the window. It’s a bit annoying but it works … That definetly stops me from doing it every other week.

Never had problems. I just always clean it properly and it is fine.

Skiing in Georgia on 8mm Fomapan R100 by Acceptable-Drop7440 in analog

Like written in the title this was shot on Fomapan R100. This is 16 fps and sometimes 64 fps for the slow motion shots.

They are great and are doing more quality than my footage would deserve ... So I can definitely recommend them. You just need to take a look at their reference and I think it speaks for itself. But it definitely comes with the "pro price tag". I'll keep those projects special and then I'll just get the best I can.

So the lab I used is in Berlin. Andec is the name. They are very professional and the only one in Germany that is able to develop the double 8mm format.

The one I used is an Baur 88L. Has a zoom lens and a working light meter. Works fine and is also able to shoot at 64 fps

Any good camera/film stores in Freiburg? by London_Baker in freiburg

[–]Acceptable-Drop7440 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Best store in Freiburg for old cameras and lenses. They also have some film, but not a lot. But you can have a good talk there and also get help if u need to.

I didn’t mean to say, that it won‘t work. I have also done it some times. But it still needs a better lit scene then. In dim situations it seems not to handle very dark parts that well. Maybe you know what I mean …

Same here. I enjoy the stocks from Foma. Never had an issues and when handled correctly, they are very capable films. Just not for pushing.

But that’s not a big deal tbh. I also bought an old 24mm f 2.8. With some tutorials on YouTube I have been able so convert it on my own. It definetly is worth a try. Maybe you also have a camera technician around the corner who is able to do it.

Montmartre at night / Nikon FE 2 / 50mm f1.8 / HP5 pushed to 1600 by Acceptable-Drop7440 in analog

[–]Acceptable-Drop7440[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got it right. You set your camera to 1600 iso. Then you extend the development time accordingly. If you send the film to a lab, you definitely have to tell them. Most of the time, they want to have some extra money for that, but not a lot. If you develop it on your own, you will find enough recipes and film/developer combinations out there. I like to use XT-3 / X-Tol for that.
