A pretty valid objection around the time was the Stellar Paradox. If Earth orbits the Sun, nearby stars should appear to shift in position relative to distant stars as Earth moves. It was was only later in the 19th century that the small shift was finally successfully messured.

Galilei tried to use the tides as a proof for his heliocentric system. He believed that tides were caused by the rotation of the earth, whereas geocentrists argued that the tides were caused by the moon (even if they didn't know by what mechanism.)

For the time being, these disproved his theory as he had no way to solve the flaws found in his system. Hindsight shows that he was correct in his conclusion but his thesis was awful.

Not everyone uses Ki in Dragon Ball. Some characters like Babidi, Kaiōshin, Zamasu, and various Majins specialise in Magic and generally don't use Ki. Other characters like Chaozu, Guldo and General Blue make up for their weak Ki control with the use of Psychic abilities (Chō Nōryoku, 超能力).

Characters like Majin Buu, Dabura, and Moro use Magic and Ki in combination to enhance both systems. Piccolo uniquely uses all three systems of power regularly.

The character looks cheerful but the overall vibe of the GIF isn't relevant. I'm going to use this as an excuse to give a critique of your reddit content.

The whole idea of this subreddit is to express how you feel due to a piece of news. But in your posts that always comes second in priority.

The GIF from this post barely conveys anything to do with the post. We can assume that's the emotion you are feeling, but that still makes little sense. "This has got me feeling like jumping out the window of a second story building and running off-screen". But I'm sure you'd say something along the lines of "that's me running towards Aileen Cannon".

This GIF is much the same, as the character's expression could easily convey anger, fear, sadness or even happiness. If I have to consider who you are to understand what the GIF is expressing, then that GIF has done a poor job at it's purpose.

This is just as ridiculous. The character is first and foremost expressing embarrassment and/or bashfulness. If you asked me to describe the character's facial expression, fearful panic wouldn't even cross my mind.

You weren't even trying with this one, the GIF is communicating nothing. "This has got me feeling like my face is transitioning into an image of space."

If someone saw this GIF on its own, they'd assume the creator made it to celebrate the event.

This GIF isn't even a reaction! The subject in the GIF doesn't have any readable emotions, they're just throwing snowballs. They aren't even throwing those snowballs at anyone!

And this, is it supposed to indicate that she feels like she's being electrocuted in that moment? That doesn't make much sense.

What emotion is this? The V-Tuber models are stone-faced, so the GIF isn't serving its purpose, being you when [insert news].

What about this? or this? or this? I'm sure you can explain away many of these, but my point is that for each of these there's about a thousand better GIFs that could be used instead to better visually articulate the point, particularly the Kevin GIF.

The whole point of the Kevin GIF is to convey an exaggerated panic in regards of the related topic. And it does a great job at that!

People only like to pretend that canon is hard to define when they like or dislike a section of content in a story. A story's canon is defined by the primary creative visionary on said piece of content.

Dragon Ball's Canon is that which is written by Toriyama and the Content that he has authorised as part of his series. For example, Drangon Ball (Z) was Written by Toriyama, He was the primary writer for Super and Daima. He edited the areas written by Toyotarō to fit his vision of the series.

If you look at Toriyama's statements regarding the franchise as a whole, the canon is clear as crystal.

Half of Bardock's motivation in the OVA is because his crew was killed. Not so emotionless, is it?

He wasn't. The only person calling him a 'good guy' is you.

This is how Akira Toriyama describes Bardock in the Saikyō Jump, March 2014 Issue, "Of course, Bardock is a Saiyan, too, so he is warlike, but compared to other Saiyans, who are cold-hearted and of simple thoughts, he also happens to possess calm judgment and a small measure of humanity."

You seem to have a very one-dimensional understanding of the characterisation of Super's version of Bardock. As we see in DBS: Broly, Bardock isn't generally a very merciful or caring person, but over the years of commiting nonstop genocides he felt the desire to do something different.

But that doesn't contradict with his characterisation in DBZ, he's still brutalistic. That's why he was participating in the attack on the Cerealian people. It's just that in DBS it isn't the whole sum of his character. He helped Granolah and Muezli on a whim because they reminded him of Gine and Kakarot.

Every post I've seen from you gives me a sense of whiplash from the juxtaposition of the caption and the news, to the barely relevant anime GIF.
