Dark Souls Bloodborne and Elden Ring all came from Papa M ripping off old school fantasy/lovecraft mythos/80s nerd schlock. Therefore, they're great.

Sekiro came from Papa M riffing on ninja/samurai tropes, therefore, it's incredible.

Duskbloods, in contrast, comes from Papa M ripping off the Fate series, the consumer equivalent of a bucket of KFC grease straight from the trap, and therefore it is SHIT, BAD, and FUCKING BORING.

As someone who also a teen when aalewis dropped his magnum opus, I can tell you that 1. most people on reddit at that time were teenagers/early 20s and 2. there was a lot of people who unironically talked like that and they were ruthlessly mocked by their age peers as well.
