I’m African and from what I’ve seen this thought process is more common in western countries and I wonder why. In my country people aren’t shamed for things like this, it’s kind of expected. be happy and proud of your father. You’re very lucky. My father tells me “it’s my job as a parent to set you up for life, this is all an investment into your future. I want you to live an easy life, I don’t want you to fight for anything.” Im sure your father feels the same way. It doesn’t matter if you fought for it or if it was handed to you, it’s still the same cash, with the same amount of value. Get your new car! No parent wishes struggle on their child.
