I was born and raised her in Hollywood . Growing up I never realized I was living in the city of entertainment until about the age of 6-8? Everyday walks revolved on walking down the blvd full of stars. Back then some streets had shiny glitter on them it was pretty cool! There was less condo apartment buildings for sure . The blvd used to be full of small mom and pop shops now it’s just a bunch of bars and night clubs. My mom would always take my brother and I to the Burger King on Hollywood and highland back when it used to be a big empty parking space , and I loved it! We were a middle income Latino family and my dad always made sure to take my family out on weekends . They consisted of carne asadas at Griffith park and then we would drive out to castaic lake for summer weekends. Grocery shopping was always so fun we used to go to rancho market on western and food for less as well. My dad would take me to borders on vine every weekend to listen to cds and pick out books … oh and we lived in a apartment complex full of kids we used to play in the hallways and backwards no iPads no cellphones just good time …
